Colorado River Compact was signed on 24th November 1922, a historic milestone. It partitions the watershed into the upper and lower basins and assigns water between them. Several problems face the River, including an increase in California’s population, predicting that water will be scarce at a certain point in time. Colorado River is endangered by human overuse. Therefore California, being overpopulated, expected the issue of scarcity of water.
Secondly, the high population in Nevada also posted the same problem same issue with California because of the increased demand for water. An increase in population will lead to the need for water. Lastly, a decrease in precipitation levels also is a problem with the Colorado River. Precipitation levels were reduced, which produced complications amongst the countries in allocation of water. The change in precipitation causes the streamflow of the River to decrease. Additionally, the River encourages water wastage by disaster to observe the people’s settlement and its control.
Tamarisk, natural riparian vegetation as an invasive species, is a problem affecting the Colorado River. The vegetation consumes an alarming amount of water. Therefore conserving water in the River is an issue unless the riparian vegetation is combated.
Additionally, climate change is imminent, which a problem with the Colorado River is. Construction of more dams and diversions are made, which will need water from the Colorado River compact. Mineral exploration near the River is increasing. Research near Colorado River Compact takes place where researchers want to find where there are minerals in the River for commercialization.
Another issue with Colorado River Compact concerning water quality is salinity. The salinity weakens water quality which can ultimately result in unusable water. There are natural resources of salinity that distress the River’s water quality. The genuine salinity contributions are essentially unavoidable. The only solution is the artificial contributions to the saltiness of the Colorado River.
Climate change has resulted in a reduction in flow and storage. The Colorado River basin is affected by changes in temperature. The flow and storage of water are both expected to decrease as the temperature rises. This is a natural event for which no compensation may be provided. Climate change is an inevitable aspect in the River’s water deficit, and as a result, it has a harmful effect on the River.
The Colorado River also is endangered by human abuse. Therefore, human activities require a lot of water, becoming a problem in the Colorado River. Additionally, environmental issues threaten the Colorado River. Poor river management techniques also affect the River. The federal government is managing the Colorado rover. Colorado River requires management to keep more water in the River.
Additionally, the management will ensure compliance with the Colorado impact. Studies have revealed, most significantly, the uneven distribution of river resources and a lack of concern for water quality and environmental issues. Currently, there is no federal mandate prescribing the basin states’ required water contributions for ecological restoration. As a result, many areas of the river, such as fisheries protection and ecological concerns, are widely overlooked by river policy. The 1922 Colorado River encouraged water wastage, but the establishment of factories and entertainment amenities utilized a lot of water.

The greatest water is wasted by urban amenities. The following amenities waste the most water. They include Entertainment amenities, hospitals, factories, automobiles, and finally, the processing plants.
Entertainment amenities surround California. Entertainment amenities require a lot of water to maintain cleanliness; therefore, they require a lot of water. Additionally, automobile factories require a lot of water. The automotive industry also is a significant consumer of water. Production of the car requires several gallons of water. Processing also needs a lot of water. For instance, food processing industries require a lot of water.
Hospitals also are the primary consumers of water. They require a lot of water for patient services. Also, the hospitals should always be clean to maintain cleanliness.

Reasons why raising animals for food is the largest consumer in California.
Livestock keeping is practiced in California. There are reasons behind raising animals in California, the largest consumer. Firstly, California produces the most considerable amount of animal meat. It has pork, beef, and any other form of meat. Therefore these animals and water production takes a lot of water for consumption. For instance, let’s say 1 pound of pork consumes over 500 gallons of water, and also 1 pound of beef would take over 1500 gallons of water. Therefore, thus conclude that raising animals is the largest consumer in California.
The raising of animals for food has indicated a household impact. Therefore a lot of water will be needed to produce meat, dairy, and eggs .Even when compared to plant meals, animal husbandry consumes the most water. Another example is a Cornell University research that indicated that generating one pound of animal protein takes more than 100 times the time it takes to produce one pound of grain protein. In addition, a research found that producing one pound of beef uses about 1600 gallons of water compared to generating one pound of wheat. Humans consume less water compared to animals. Animals consume many gallons of water as compared to human consumption. Therefore, raising animals is seen as a large consumer of water in California.
Mainly, the raising of animals and plants is now filtered in many countries because they started measuring water availability. For example, orange planting is primarily practiced in France. Therefore, when they realized that inured to produce orange fruits, a lot of water was being used, they eradicated orange planting. They started importing orange fruits from other countries to conserve water. The same case applies to California and Nevada, where they are more concentrated on working on water conservations methods instead of increasing the water share from the Colorado River.

Gladiator Movie Analysis
The film Gladiator, produced by Ridley Scott, follows the narrative of general Maximus (Russell Crowe), who fights the insane Emperor and is widely regarded as being one of the greatest literary films ever made. On the other hand, Gladiator shows the public the popular reciting time while concealing the true viewpoint and process of government, as is customary in historical films. True, most of the film’s alterations merely enhanced the atmosphere. Gladiator brought the savagery and warfare practices of the Roman stage to the 21st century, resulting in legions of the fewer weapon epics. The Gladiator movie analysis in this paper is based on fictionalization, visual design, cinematography, editing, colour, dialogue, director’s style, and the Movie’s musical score.
Fictionalization
Maximus is a fictional character who looks like the following historical people in some ways: Narcissus (the actor’s nickname in the initial draft of the script, as well as Commodus’ genuine murderer); Spartacus (who conducted a major slave uprising throughout the story; Cincinnatus; a farm owner who was made dictator, ended up saving Rome from the war of aggression, then decided to resign the six-month consultation after fifteen days; in addition, Marcus Nonius (who led a significant slave revolt in, and(a respected general who served as Senator in 154 AD and was Marcus Aurelius’ friend). Lucilla is presented in this film as the only widow of Lucius Verus, who has one child called Lucius Verus. Although Lucilla was Verus’ widow and bore a son named Verus, their boy perished young, sometime before the reign of Commodus, and Lucilla married Claudius Pompeianus shortly after Verus’ death. By the moment her brother became Emperor, she’d been wedded to him for 11 years, and Aurelius Pompeianus was her sole live son. Aurelia Lucilla and Lucilla Plautia, Lucilla’s remaining two kids with Verus, are absent from the film.
Visual design
Although it is a popular misperception, history depicts Roman visual design as white. Most of the structures’ original colors have faded over time, leaving just white regions. The film is primarily concerned with establishing the majesty and scope required to convey the history of Rome. It focuses on set design, location selection, and graphics. Aerial photographs, long horizontals, Perspective views, and bringing the architecture in the foreground and stressing the centre to emphasize the background are only a few of the techniques used in the film. Scott likewise managed to deviate from precedent whenever it came to design. The Gladiator style Detention Quarters, Royal Palace, Street Theater, Colosseum Arena, and Proximo Rooms are the historically notable places and buildings used in the film.
Cinematography, editing and Special visual effects
Gladiator’s special effects team collaborated closely with the cinematography and production designer to create magnificent images of Roman buildings and German battlefields, including thousands of digitally produced or modified extras. “Gladiator” is, without a doubt, among the greatest movies to use advanced technology and a lot of hard effort to generate visual effects at the time. The Coliseum had a breathtaking perspective at the time and was a gladiator fight arena. The producers managed to portray the entire stadium utilizing video graphics computer technology by recreating a portion of it out of brick and mud in Malta. A picture by Jean-Leon Gerome inspired the velarium and illumination effects. These two elements were crucial in convincing audiences that the era’s atmosphere was accurately depicted.
Color
Complete sequences set in Rome are shown in a grey image in the Gladiator colour. As the camera soars above the grey sculpture of an eagle in one of Rome’s opening images, the individuals on each edge of it are dressed solely in grey. The grey hue gives Rome a whole new meaning. The populace yells at Commodus to leave Rome. The photographs give Rome a “pale blue light and a threatening mood” and “deny it the bright colors we would expect to see in the Mediterranean,” creating unpleasant darkness in the city. Because Rome is the centre of the world, people are taken aback when they see it painted in a grey, cold steel colour. This colour palette depicts what Rome is required to reflect in the film: a corrupt country governed by a mad Ruler.
Acting
There were dances, plays, animal games, sacrifices, and simulated naval warfare in the theatre. Most of these concerts were not hosted by the government but by private individuals. However, senators, emperors, the poor, and the wealthy were present at these events (munera). These munera included reenactments of battles and mythologies and natural sceneries with real trees and plants on the stage floor. Gladiators would play heroes in such plays, frequently to the surprise and delight of the audiences, and would be slaughtered, burned, or maimed by opponents and opponents. Gladiatorial battles can be quite entertaining. Sound effects and Dialog
Dialogue is called whenever two or more characters in a film or movie are having a conversation. A conversation is used, just like it is in everyday life, to give the characters a task to fulfil and help them know how to respond or when to utter it. The conversation between Commodus and his father when he murdered his father in this movie has been deemed a dialogue. Both have a speaking role in the film, and their lines are scripted ahead of time. When somebody or anything is doing something that would ordinarily generate a sound, viewers hear sound effects. We can listen to the sound of the Spaniard sharpening his sword with a stone before walking in amongst all the gladiators to get to the arena as he fights alone in this clip. The sound effects dramatically increase with the banging of swords and the slashing of flesh while on the battlefield.
The musical score
Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard composed the original melodies and music for Gladiator, released as Music score from the Movie in 2000. Gavin Greenaway commissioned the Lyndhurst Orchestra to perform the score. Hans Zimmer’s style influenced many composers, and elements like sobbing female voices and the “fight waltz” were adopted in subsequent historical war movies. Harry Gregson-Williams, a colleague of Zimmer’s individual Media Ventures Productions, composed the soundtrack for Ridley Scott’s subsequent film, Kingdom of Heaven. Gladiatorial combat is supposed to have begun as a way for the recently deceased to obtain freshly slaughtered hereafter enslaved victims. Nonetheless, by the year 100 CE, this game had become a spectacle and a source of entertainment.
Director’s style
Rather than a critique, the film appears to celebrate the show. Without a doubt, Gladiator’s “wonder” effect, the aspects of pleasure and dramatic stimulation that make up what Simon During has referred to as “the film of activity” about early film’s celebration mechanisms, impressed audiences. The narrative of Maximus (Russell Crowe) and his journey to revenge on the assassination of his daughter and wife by Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix), the new Ruler of Rome. However, there is a subplot with the Roman Republic’s corruption and Commodus’s power ambitions leading the Roman people—the “mob”—astray. Gladiatorial games are an example of spectacles. As it occurs within the narrative of Gladiator, the film makes its additional observations—we may argue it has a “tone” on the political and moral significance of “spectacle.”
In conclusion, Gladiator brought the savagery and warfare practices of the Roman stage to the 21st century, resulting in legions of fewer weapon epics. The Movie depicted some features, including fictionalization, colour, visual and sound effects, editing, acting and style used by the director to highlight the content of the Gladiator film. There were animal games, dances, plays, sacrifices, and simulated naval warfare in the theatre. This grey hue gives Rome a whole new meaning. The director of The Gladiator movie used a narrative style to portray the film’s content to a captivating audience.
