The Criminal Justice System Do My History Homework

The United States Constitution art history essay help: art history essay help

Offenders going through the criminal justice system have many obstacles they will face. The United States Constitution contains rights for offenders which allows their process through the criminal justice system to be smoother and make sure they are being treated fairly. I will cover the impact of the United States Constitution for the offender in the criminal justice system. This will include the fourth, fifth, sixth, eighth, and fourteenth amendments as well as due process for offenders.

The fourth amendment is, “The portion of the Bill of Rights that generally requires warrants for searches and seizures but has been construed to permit warrantless arrests in most situations.” (Ingram, 2009, P.500) This includes stop-and-frisk, search warrants, and other types of surveillance. As a citizen of the United States a person’s belongings is their property and the government including law enforcement are not allowed to unlawfully take a person’s belongings. This gives the offender some level of protection from invasion of privacy. An officer must have probable cause before a search can begin. The fifth amendment is, “”No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor

Critical Analysis Of The Criminal Justice System women’s rights history essay help

CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE U.S CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM The criminal justice system of the United States is based on a system fragmentation and operation. This system consists of overlapping powers between the state and federal laws that creates a conflict with regards to criminal justice. Consequently, this generates a dysfunctional and inefficient system that a times fails to produce credibility in criminal justice. The rationale behind this is that there is no clear interpretation concerning where federal law ends and where state law begins. As a result of federalism, whereby government system of the United States has generated an overlap of power as a result of delegating some powers to the federal government and others to the state to exercise, there has therefore been a conflict in the undertaking of criminal justice in courts. Article six of the United States constitution contains a supremacy clause that pronounces the role of judges in every state as bound by the constitution (Banks, 34). This is however subject to different interpretation because when these laws interfere with the laws of the congress, the act of congress is deemed supreme even though the latter is in pursuance of the constitution, it must conform to the laws of congress. For instance, the United States district courts have jurisdiction to hear federal cases and deciding the constitutionality of federal laws. However the constitution gives powers to the congress to control and determine the cases to

The Double’s Creation as a Necessary Anti-Hero ap world history homework help: ap world history homework help

“In literature the double is a result of the author’s conscious or unconscious desire for a wider range of action, possibilities of behavior for his hero that go beyond the morally acceptable, and this wish will create itself in the form of a double, or anti-hero” writes Joyce Carol Oates in her piece “Tragic and Comic Visions in The Brothers Karamazov.” Just as Oates suggests that doubles are created in order for an author to extend a character’s range of believable actions, doubles exist to bring about change in their original forms. Citing Mikhail Bakhtin’s criticism of Dostoyevsky’s creation technique, I intend to align the author’s intentions with the intentions of his characters, and explain that due to the author’s need for a wider…show more content…
Through extensive research of dissociative fugue and the projection defense mechanism as well as in-depth analysis of each character’s speech and action will help solidify my case for each and speak to the reasoning for their creation of doubles. My second viewpoint is a bit more abstract in the sense that it deals solely with the concept of a literary double. This approach is not radically different from the take on the same theory that doubles are born out of an individual’s need for further action they wish not to take responsibility for. This view asserts the creation of a literary double is somewhat of a cop out on the author’s part. Mikhail Bakhtin, as well as countless other critics, have identified Dimitri, Ivan, and Alyosha Karamazov each as Dostoyevsky himself in differing phases of his life. In this manner, the novel is an “artistically organized” collection of languages, voices, and speech types (Rivkin 674). I will rely heavily on the work of Mikhail Bakhtin in my discussion of the differing voices (heteroglossia) within the novel, as well as a commentary on Bakhtin’s “Problems of Dostoevsky’s Creation” by Rene Wellek. My research will aim to uncover the multitude of voices that an author includes within each character of the story as well as a seemingly

Sound Localization and Hearing Protection Devices history essay help

Introduction A hearing protection device (HPD) is often used as a protective measure in a workplace environment when the sound levels of that environment cannot be decreased and such levels pose a threat to the hearing of workers. An HPD is a safety device worn by individual’s to protect his or her hearing from the harmful effects of sound (Berger, 2003). A variety of occupational environments are known to produce high levels of noise, including factories and military operations. Individuals employed in these professions may be required to wear HPDs to reduce the risk of noise-induced hearing loss. However, certain situations in these work environments require the listener to also be able to hear low-level sounds for safety reasons.…show more content…

The three main styles of HPDs are earplugs, earmuffs, and semi-aural devices. Special protectors, such as level-dependent hearing protectors, are less commonly used but also have an effect on sound localization. Earplugs are placed into the ear canal in order to block the entrance of sound by forming a hermetic seal. Earplugs are better suited for longer use for those individuals who are exposed to noise throughout their workday, and provide a significant amount of attenuation. However, the effectiveness of the earplugs depends on proper insertion, and requires training employees on how to correctly place them in the canal. The level of attenuation can vary depending on how well the earplug is fit, as well as the motivation of the employee to wear them consistently (Berger, 2003). Earmuffs, on the other hand, cover the entire outer ear and provide an air-tight seal against the head in order to block the entrance of sound. Earmuffs are preferred for individuals who are not exposed to a consistent level of noise throughout the day. Rather, they are better suited for shorter periods of high level noise during the workday. Due to the size and location on the head, they also may not be beneficial for employees that must work in smaller, more confined spaces. However, the level of attenuation is more consistent than earplugs, as the employees do not require extensive training on the use of earmuffs as they are generally one-sized devices (Berger, 2003).
