Importance of Guidelines and rules in a classroom college admission essay help: college admission essay help
Guidelines and rules are extremely important within a classroom and within the educational setting in general because it sets the boundaries of the classroom from the very beginning of the class. This is important because the students are made fully aware of the expectations that are placed on them as well as the limits of their behaviors. Giving a child structure is a very important part of adolescence and is not to be trifled with. When students are given the proper structure of what is expected of them behaviorally, they become aware of what they did wrong and what will happen to them since they chose to disregard the rule of the classroom. This assists the teacher with disciplinary purposes as well as proper reinforcement of the rules. Rather than outright punishing the child for inappropriate behaviors because the rules were not clear enough, the teacher can bring to the attention of the student what rule they broke, remind them that they were aware of the rules and expectations of the classroom, and dole out consequences accordingly. When a student is aware of the rules that they have broken and why that rule was put into practice in the firstplace, they are more likely to accept the consequences of their actions. Students being able to accept the consequences of their actions is a crucial part of maturing adolescence and helps structure their future selves to potentially make less destructive; and more positive choices.

Guidelines and rules in a classroom university essay help
Guidelines and rules are a must in a classroom for it to run smoothly and one of the best ways to get the kids to buy into them is to have them come up with some of the rules as a class. There are always some none negotiables that you start with, and you need to guide them in the right direction, but the students know what they need in their room to feel safe. When using positive behavior supports, you can get kids to have jobs, getting extra time for things they love to do or helping the teacher. It is amazing what kids will do for these incentives. Most young kids want to be liked and helpful so they will work for more responsibility and praise. The kids who do not get praise at home or that have no confidence need to hear what they are doing correctly. It has to be specific, not good job but, I love the way you are persevering, or great handwriting. Of course, I am a elementary teacher so I am sure its different for middle or high school.

Teachers beliefs and values impact on the classroom english essay help: english essay help
Teachers beliefs and values impact the classroom significantly. As it is our beliefs and values that define us, these aspects of us will come into play into the school setting. In my own life, I believe in living a life of servitude towards others, doing whatever it takes to support however I can in the capacities that I can. This core value in my life certainly affects my classroom climate, as I always work to support my students, no matter what the challenge.

As an agent of learning and good, I work with my students to help them grow academically and behaviorally. For many populations, emotional support will be an important belief to put into practice. Emotional support has been found to be the strongest indicator of a positive student-teacher relationship (Moen et. al, 2019, p. 337). If I am to reflect my beliefs and values, then I need to model the behaviors I want to inspire my kids to show. It will also mean I need to show them how to support others emotionally by responding appropriately to meet their needs.

Five years in an alternative educational setting – focused on intensive academic and behavioral support – has proved to me that my beliefs and values do positively impact my classroom and my work with students. I have experienced more forms of physical and verbal aggression than I could ever explain. Whenever I have met these behaviors with care and compassion, the results afterwards were long-lasting: most students never try to hurt me again. I use preventative techniques to defuse the situation, controlling my voice tone and body language to show support. I give my students space when they request and I try my best to be an active listener. What I show them is that words can carry us through challenging times, because that is what I believe.

I appreciate this discussion question and it is a question I reflect on constantly in my own practice as an educator. For some of our students, we might be the only positive influence in their lives daily. It is important that we show them we care by building our relationships with them, delivering high-quality content, engaging them in critical thinking, and by supporting their well-being. The climate that we create reflects who are, so we should express the most positive qualities possible in order to promote positive role models in our students lives.

Tracking the changing patterns of group communication essay help
JOURNAL ANALYSIS

due date;11th September

Part 1 should be written with a view to: The assessment item is the ’Journal analysis’ and should endeavour to synthesise your weekly learning journal entries, supported by appropriate references

Tracking the changing patterns of group communication

The group dynamic has developed every week; it started for me in week 2, because I did not attend my first week due to my limited communication. In week three, I felt more comfortable sharing my ideas within the group and building more relationships (Toseland & Rivas 2005).

The existence of effective communication is confirmed among group members only if the intended message by the sender is interpreted by the receiver the same way it is sent (Johnson & Johnson, 2006). The type of group we had in class was educative, reciprocal. The interaction patterns are different in every tutorial, sometimes it is free-floating, and some of the activities we has Round Robin, Esther asks us a question, such as, what we learned from the material as we all respond in turn.

The group exersices were used in each week made me more open and positively participating with the class as it has developed the relationship with the class as we all had work communicate with each other. The group communication is important as most students expressed their opinions and remained active, e.g. some students were withdrawn and most of the time they did not have their cameras on as some of the group members did not attend the class that affected our interaction.

Linking these patterns to the operation of the group process.

Communication is the central point of solving problems. It is necessary when it comes to group work and group processes. The tutorials and the exercises have helped me to understand the elements of group processes and what facilitates them an example, in week 6, I have learnt the different type of power which it can display everywhere and also can be negatively or positively. As Toseland & Rivas (2005) describe, the important to incude each particepant in the discussion which it helps to share diffrent view point. Much attention has been put on communication during group projects, which is the way to express oneself and explain the nature of the task.

The exercises were useful during the projects because every member was eager to put forth their ideas and content related to work. Behaviour and thoughts managed the pattern of operating the process of group work. Work-related thoughts and group members can influence the work of the group. Thus, it is suggested whether thoughts remain professional;

challenging triggered thoughts and thinking processes during group projects.

Discussing the implications of the above about the roles people take on in groups

The roles and responsibilities relating to the functions are shared in the group to maintain uniformity; these define behaviour about a specific function or task that the group member is expected to perform (Johnson & Johnson, 2006). The Primary role and responsibility of every member is to seek information, in the group everyone has a mutual goal to seek information, arrange it, and communicate to work in a group (Toseland & Rivas, 2005). In some cases, the group members or students asked a question that allowed other students to see the content or think about the content from a different angle.

Crisis management plan for teachers research essay help: research essay help
Each teacher should have a crisis management plan in place for situations like this. Many times it is a universal plan for all teachers to use in the school. However, if there is not an action plan already the teacher needs to create one for the class. This plan needs to be shared with administration, staff, other teachers, parents and students. Parents need to understand the severity of the plan and the steps taken need to be clear and concise. In my class if a student presents a safety risk to self, other students, or a staff member there is a code blue that goes out to the front desk, principle office, assistant principle office, two assigned alternative safe classrooms and security. An assigned class safety monitor will take the blue card entitled “crisis” and lead the remaining students to a designated nearby classroom. The teacher will attempt to reestablish self-control. If this is not possible the teacher will move any sharp objects or harmful material out of reach of the student and talk calmly with them until help arrives. Diciplinary action depends on the severity of the situation and the determined course of action is given by administration. Once the situation is under control the teacher is required to document the events that led to the incident and what took place during the encounter. Any injuries must be medically documented by the school nurse. If another student was injured during the altercation the parents of the student will be given a report of the incident, however the student’s name that caused the injuries is not recorded for confidentiality. All reports are submitted to administration and must be signed within 24 hours of incident.

Discussion on gaining of students’ respect grad school essay help
As an educator, understanding each students’ background and using that to target a strong rapport, allows for a gaining of respect. This respect does not come single-sided, it becomes mutual. As an educator, taking the time to understand each student, his/her background, and needs, demonstrates buy-in to the student as to who he/she is, in regard to individuality. By adding to that, always looking for the good inside the student, taking the efforts to engage in school events – even when they are not mandated by administration, and demonstrating consistent sincerity in the interactions builds the rapport and heightens the respect from the students toward the educator (Boyd, 2018).

It is essential to have a strong classroom management plan because it establishes a set expectation for the students and alleviates the stress of not knowing what to expect. This allows for a stronger dedication to academics and facilitates the social aspect simultaneously. Building positive relationships with students helps this plan by giving each student a vested interest in being the best she/he can be. The students, through demonstrated mutual respect, will want (and will choose) to make better decisions.

Discussion on a positive learning environment admission college essay help: admission college essay help
The respect we show our students will determine how they respect us. A positive learning environment embodies all the values we seek to promote. These values will eventually reflect in all our students with consistent support by teachers. A major component of the classroom environment is simply the relationship we have with our students. The relationships we have with our students are considered vital components towards classroom management (Moore et. al, 2017, p.494). Strong and positive rapports with students will help develop a reciprocal respect towards one another, enabling positive interactions and trust.

As educators, a strong classroom management plan will support positive relationships with students. Giving them power to produce class norms, rules and expectations will give them ownership in our daily functions. We must listen to students voices when making decisions, as most of our work involves working with students. Order and compliance in the classroom is only as effective as the productivity and learning qualities embedded, so if students have the opportunity to enrich the environment with their voice, we will see more learning and growth.

Best Regards,

William Douglass

Kagan Structures instructional strategies essay help site:edu
Kagan Structures are instructional strategies designed to promote cooperation and communication in the classroom, boost students’ confidence and retain their interest in classroom interaction. Positive interdependence and individual accountability are two of the four basic principles of cooperative learning. The four Kagan principles are positive Interdependence, individual accountability, equal participation, and simultaneous interaction. Individual accountability drives achievement. When we know we will be held accountable for an individual performance we are more motivated and try harder than when we know no one will see how much we have learned or how well we can perform. “Positive interdependence drives cooperation. When our outcomes are linked, we hope for and support the success of others; when we cannot do a task alone, we work with others. If we put a great deal of pressure on students and offer them too little support, they will become frustrated and may give up.” (Kagan, S. PhD., n.d.) c Willingness to learn new and difficult content depends on a healthy combination of support and pressure. I will teach my students to support one another and hold each other accountable by having them work in groups or pairs.

4. Respond to Megan

Kagan’s four elements for successful cooperative learning use the mnemonic device PIES. This stands for Positive Interdependence, Individual Accountability, Equal Participation, and Simultaneous Interaction. Positive Interdependence means that the ideas of one student enrich the ideas of the other, Individual Accountability is when students are responsible for their own participation, Equal Participation is when each student contributes the same into its group, and lastly Simultaneous Interaction is the percentage of learners overtly engaged at any one moment (Kagan, 2001). According to Kagan (2001), one way to hold students accountable during group projects is using RoundTable. He uses the example of if the group is instructed to make a list, th students would take turns passing the paper around the table so that each student participated equally. Eventually, students will just start to implement this into their group work without even being prompted to! In my future practice, I will remember both Kagan’s ideas as well as my own experiences. Kagan articulated that without implementing specific elements, group work will not be equal. I completely agree, and I have even experienced this throughout school. I will try my best to prompt my students and keep Kagan’s ideas in mind in order to make assignments in class the most successful.
