This paper just needs to answer the below questison. 250-300 words will be fine.

QUESTION

We live in a busy and fast world. Mental health is one of the national health priority areas. The issue is complex and has several causes. This week I would like your group to discuss what you think can be done to address to stigma around mental health and/or any evaluated preventative programs that have had a positive impact on mental health. Be mindful that mental health is a sensitive issue; let us ensure we respect each other’s thoughts for this discussion.

Focus

1.3 Discussion. Practical Wisdom

Getting Started

This week’s discussion forum begins with viewing two videos and reading two articles, one of which is called “Lean Lessons from ‘The Wizard of Oz’” on the subject of organizational wisdom. The author employs observations from the classic film to draw parallels to the use of wisdom in navigating the challenges that leaders and their organizations face in these uncertain times.

Upon successful completion of this discussion, you will be able to:

Explore how practical wisdom can be used to address significant organizational and societal issues.

Background Information

“Wise people think before they act; fools don’t–and even brag about their foolishness.” Proverbs 13:16(new tab)

Instructions

Review the rubric to make sure you understand the criteria for earning your grade.

View the YouTube video: What is Wisdom?

View the first 11 minutes and 30 seconds of the YouTube video by Dr. Robert Sternberg:

Read the article: Wisdom in Leadership: Why Care About Being Wise?(PDF document)

Review the article: Lean Lessons from ‘The Wizard of Oz’(new tab).

In your initial discussion post (250–300 words), respond to the following:

Describe a time when you demonstrated wisdom in a past or current organization in which you were involved (employer, nonprofit volunteer, etc.)

Based on principles that you reviewed in the assigned reading and viewing (and without sharing more information than you are comfortable disclosing), discuss how and why you believe you used wisdom effectively. Please feel free to incorporate your cultural perspective into the reflection.

If you had it to do over again, would you handle the situation any differently? Why or why not?

Stigma and mental health Religion and Theology Assignment Help 1.4 Case Study. Solomon – The Too Wise King

Getting Started

Robert Sternberg (2005), the preeminent scholar in the area of wisdom, wrote that:

Wisdom is the ability to use one’s successful intelligence, creativity, and knowledge toward a common good by balancing one’s own (intrapersonal) interests, other people’s (interpersonal) interests, and larger (extrapersonal) interests, over the short and long terms, through the infusion of values, in order to adapt to, shape, and select environments. Thus, wisdom involves both intelligence and creativity, but as they are applied not just to serve one’s own ends, but also, the ends of other people and of larger interests, as well.

This assignment involves reading an article entitled “Solomon: The Too Wise King.” You will use it as a case study upon which to respond to several questions that require reflection and, yes, wisdom.

Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be able to:

Apply principles of wisdom to a practical case study.

Instructions

Review the rubric to make sure you understand the criteria for earning your grade.

Review the resources assigned for Discussion 1.3.

Read the case study entitled, Solomon: The Too Wise King(PDF document).

Respond to the case study by writing a two-page paper (excluding the title page and reference page) that addresses the following:

Describe how King Solomon acquired great wisdom.

What is at least one example of how King Solomon exhibited wisdom?

In what ways did King Solomon fail to exercise wisdom about which he wrote in the books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes? What are the reasons that you think contributed to these failures?

Share a situation from your personal experience when you failed to use wisdom. To what do you attribute the reason(s) for the decision or action you took? Do you consider it to have been foolish (the opposite of wise)? Why or why not?

What are some ways that you could make better use of wisdom in your life and leadership? Be specific.

The paper must include an introduction paragraph to summarize for your reader what they will find in your paper, as well as a conclusion paragraph that provides a succinct summary of your learning. Be sure to use headings to organize your key themes.

Submit your completed assignment by the end of the workshop week.

All papers are to be written and formatted in accordance with the APA Guidelines (7th ed.)

Papers must be logical, well organized, grammatically correct, and have correct spelling and sentence structure. Write in complete paragraphs of at least three sentences in length.

1.6 Assignment. Creating a Strategic Plan, Part 1 – Formulating Mission and Vision Statements

Getting Started

As outlined in the Thinking Ahead information contained in #1.5, many of the assignments in this course will contribute toward the creation of a strategic plan that represents your Course Project (due in Week 6). The very first step in this process is to identify an organization for which you will create a strategic plan. This may be a current or past employer, or some other organization with which you are affiliated (such as a nonprofit, community organization, etc.). If changing the “name” of the organization to preserve anonymity or to avoid any conflicts of interest would be helpful, you may do so. But the strategic plan that you create for this course must be based on an actual organization with which you have had experience and knowledge.

Why are mission and vision statements important? Simply stated, they are a bit like maps (or GPS). They serve to keep organizations moving forward in ways that uphold their values and purposes. Mission statements explain why the organization exists. Vision statements communicate where the organization intends to go in the future. Without these, organizations (and their leaders and followers) may easily drift away from their common purpose and the achievement of their goals.

Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be able to:

Thoughtfully and strategically create mission and visions statements for your chosen organization.

This assignment is the first of several you will complete over the coming six weeks, each of which will contribute to the building of a strategic plan, your Course Project due in Week 6. In #1.6 below, an introduction to this process is provided.

The first step involves choosing an organization for which you will create a strategic plan. This may be a current or past employer or some other organization with which you are or have been affiliated (such as a nonprofit, community organization, etc.). Write a short paragraph that identifies and briefly describes your choice of organization. You will use your chosen organization for assignments during each week of this course, so be prepared to re-use this description paragraph for future course assignments.

For your chosen organization, use the knowledge you gained in viewing the two assigned videos for this assignment to write an original or update an existing mission statement and, separately, a vision statement. If using previously written mission and vision statements, analyze them and suggest improvements by rewriting them.

Your written assignment must include an introduction paragraph or two that provides a description of the organization you have chosen for your strategic planning process during this course. Then, carefully and thoughtfully include a mission statement and a vision statement. Include a closing paragraph that provides rationale for why you chose to write the two statements as you did.

Submit your completed assignment by the end of the workshop week.
