Assignment:
Prepare your incident management organizational chart for the first 12-hour operational period utilizing ICS Form 207 from the FEMA website. Beyond the command and general staff level, it is only necessary to detail the operations and planning section functions. Identify resources in your community that could realistically be expected to fill those roles.
Using ICS Form 202 from the same FEMA website, identify at least three operations section objectives and three planning section objectives for the first 12-hour operational period. Write the shortest appropriate SMART objectives in sentence form.

What message is connotated in the image?
What message is denotated in the image?
What signs (signified/signifier) are evident in the image?
What knowledge is required to understand the message of the image?
What social practices are communicated by the image?
What myths are reproduced by the image?
What meaning is communicated by the image?
Who is this image intended to resonate with?
Who is included in the imagined audience of the image?
What does this image communicate about race, class, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, nationality, age?
These are questions to help you approach how to analyze an image but are just prompts to help you start to think about deconstructing and analyzing your image.
Your semiotic analysis should consist of an introduction with a thesis statement, analysis paragraphs, and conclusion. A copy of your image must also be included with your submission and referenced in the bibliography.
Your Written Reading Response must consist of:
An introduction with brief overview of the image and a thesis statement
Body paragraph(s) containing your analysis
Concluding paragraph
