Analyze the ways in which controversy over the extension of slavery into western territories contributed to the coming of the civil war between the period 1845-1861 in 500 words

The controversy over the extension of slavery into western territories was a major contributing factor to the outbreak of the Civil War. The issue of slavery was a highly divisive one, and it became increasingly clear that the country was heading towards secession. The election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860 was the final straw for the southern states, and they took action to secede from the Union. The Civil War was a tragic and bloody conflict, but it was also a defining moment in American history.

In the years between 1845 and 1861, the issue of slavery and its expansion into western territories became increasingly controversial. This was due in part to the growing abolitionist movement, which argued that slavery was morally wrong and should be abolished. At the same time, many southern slaveholders were pushing for the expansion of slavery into new territories, in order to maintain their way of life. As the two sides became more entrenched in their positions, the country became increasingly divided. This division ultimately led to the Civil War, as the southern states seceded from the Union in 1861 in order to protect their right to keep slaves. During the Civil War, both sides fought for their beliefs about slavery. The Union army eventually emerged victorious, and in 1865 the Thirteenth Amendment was passed, which abolished slavery throughout the United States.

One example of how the controversy over the extension of slavery into western territories contributed to the coming of the civil war is the Kansas-Nebraska Act. This act, passed in 1854, allowed for the expansion of slavery into new territories and led to violence between pro-slavery and anti-slavery factions in the Kansas Territory. This violence eventually spread to other parts of the country, contributing to the outbreak of the Civil War in 1861. Another example was the Dred Scott decision. The Dred Scott decision was a Supreme Court ruling that held that African Americans could not be citizens of the United States. This ruling was also highly controversial, and it led to further tension between the north and the south.

Barack Obama Did/Did Not Represent the Interests of Black People

Introduction

Barack Obama was the 44th President of the Usa of America, a position he held from 2009 to 2017. He is an African-American Democrat who served as President of the Usa for the first time. Formerly an Illinois senator from 1997 to 2004 and a U.S. senator representing Illinois representing 2005 to 2008, he has served in both capacities. Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1961, only two years after Hawaii became the 50th state of the Union. After spending much of his youth on the island state of Hawaii, he also spent a year in Washington State and four years living in Indonesian (Harris-Perry et al., 2015). As an organizer in Chicago after graduating from University in 1983, he had a long and fruitful career. A Harvard Law School undergraduate, he became the first black president of Harvard Law Review in 1988. Graduated from the University of Chicago Law School, became an advocate for civil rights and an academic, and taught constitutional law there from 1992 until 2004. He served 3 parts in the Illinois State senate from 1997 to 2004, during which time he sought for the United States Senate (Dyson, 2016). At the Democratic Convention in July 2004, Obama gave a keynote speech and was elected to the Senate in November, all of which brought him to the attention of the country for the first time. Obama became the first African American to be elected President of the Usa in 2008. Obama’s victory was due in part to his message of hope and change and his appeal to young voters. In his first term, President Obama faced challenges such as the Great Recession and the Affordable Care Act. He was re-elected to a second term in 2012. This paper will discuss how Barack Obama Did/did not represent Black people’s Interests.

There is no one answer to this question. Some people may say that Barack Obama did represent the interests of black people, while others may say that he did not. It is important to remember that everyone has different opinions on this topic. When Obama was first elected, many black people were hopeful that he would help improve the lives of those in the black community. Unfortunately, Obama could not do as much as many people had hoped. During his time in office, the black unemployment rate remained higher than the white unemployment rate. In addition, Obama could not pass any major legislation that would have helped black people (Dyson, 2016). Despite this, Obama was still able to do some things that helped black people. He appointed multiple black people to high-level positions in his administration. In addition, Obama spoke out against racism on numerous occasions. He also worked to improve relations between the United States and countries in Africa. Overall, whether or not Obama represented the interests of black people is up for debate. Some people may say that he did, while others may say that he did not. In my case, I will argue that Obama stood to help black people.

I based my position on four factors. The first is that, since his election in 2008, President Barack Obama has worked hard to improve the lives of black Americans. He has increased access to education and health care and worked to create jobs and grow the economy. He has also spoken out against discrimination and violence against black people. The second factor is that, Under President Obama, the unemployment rate for black Americans fall to its lowest level since 2008 (Dyson, 2016). The poverty rate has also fallen, and more black Americans are now insured through the Affordable Care Act. In this case, the third factor is that President Obama has also increased funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities and made it easier for black entrepreneurs to get small business loans. The fourth is that President Obama has also used his platform to speak out against discrimination and violence against black people. He has spoken out against police brutality and worked to improve race relations in the United States (West & Mendieta, 2017). In addition, He has also visited countries like Kenya and South Africa, where he has met with black leaders and delivered speeches about the importance of equality and opportunity for all people. President Obama’s work to improve the lives of black Americans has made him one of the most popular presidents among black Americans. His approval rating among black Americans has consistently been higher than his approval rating among the general population.

In his published reading, Cornel West argues that “Barack Obama is one of the most brilliant black leaders that we have ever had. He has a deep understanding of the plight of black people in America, and he is committed to helping us improve our lives (West & Mendieta, 2017).” On the other hand, Michael Eric Dyson supports the argument that Obama stood with black people by outlining clearly that “Barack Obama is a man who is deeply in touch with the African American experience (Dyson, 2016). He understands the pain and the suffering that we have gone through, and he is committed to making things better. Melissa Harris-Perry- said that Obama was a good role model for black children and represented black people well (Harris-Perry et al., 2015).

The Unique Benefits of Community Colleges

The decision of which college one will join is usually a tricky one that involves gauging one’s financial position, schedule, and the gain that the college will bring to their academic and personal life. The two choices of a community college or a four-year college have their benefits and demerits. It does not matter the number of years one will spend in the college, and the experience that the college provides to an individual matter a lot. In the words of Addison, a community college will allow one to begin in that they will have the freedom of making the choices that are important to them, an element that is crucial for learning. In the two years that the students are within, community colleges offer better learning opportunities than the four-year colleges that have been overly focused.

Believing in possibility is one of the aspects of a community college as it offers the student an opportunity to believe that they can achieve their goal. Community college students, as per Addison, also have a certain degree of freedom that informs their independence in regards to creativity, thought, and action. Freedom is an important tool for learners as independence in every bit of their lives greatly affects how effective such learners are. College learners need the right exposure to resources and different people who challenge how they do their things (Addison 1). Community colleges are not just a means of making money as higher education institutions have transformed into, but guardians and the people responsible for the students can trust the community colleges as they offer the best value in education. College students need to be unstoppable in aspects of what they can imagine and what they can achieve, and community colleges offer that and more.

A community college also offers an opportunity to students who the education system has sidelined. The students who feel that they can do more with whatever they have in the qualification they have can turn the community college into a place of hope with them being able to pursue their dreams to the fullest. With the existence of a life that is almost entirely pegged on academic qualifications and the highest ones, community colleges exist to inspire students in the direction of their dreams. In community colleges, the students can dare to dream. They can do so in an environment that generates hope in a place that is affordable and with a futuristic experience (Felix and Ángel 3). The community colleges’ opportunities are not biased and can only be considered for the country’s best future.

College education matters as it elevates one from one level to the other in different aspects intellectually, academically, and financially. If a country is to achieve a desirable future, it should look at its educational institutions’ importance and deliberately take steps meant to offer such institutions the needed support. The importance of education cannot be overemphasized. The American people need to learn the significance of community colleges and encourage students to join such institutions to advance their dreams. From saving time and money to offering a chance to achieve dreams, community colleges are the place of hope for students from all walks of life.

Beyondtech – Gathering Requirements

Employees’ interactions with the system and their interactions with the system will be examined during the assessment in order to determine how they use the effectiveness of this technique. Observation, questionnaires, surveys, and interviews are all effective methods of gathering information about employees’ usage of the system’s functionality. The outcome of a simple bug will be that a system analyst will be unable to observe precisely what an employee is doing while using the system (Gnanasambandaet al., 2017). The ability to observe workers interact with the technology in real time will allow us to possibly remedy the issue,” says the author. Using surveys is not the only way to get feedback; another option is allowing users to offer their own thoughts in addition to those provided in the choices. This may be achieved by allowing users to share their own opinions in addition to those provided in the options. There is just one disadvantage to using this method: consumers are unable to submit input in addition to the options provided in the surveys.

A personal fault of this approach is that it is difficult to maintain track of surveys performed among many staff members, asking about their thoughts on the system and the efficiency necessary as an inquiry by email or in hard copy on paper, and it is difficult to keep track of the results. Users have a variety of viewpoints, and not everyone’s point of view will be the same as the system’s, which will only lead to more confusion and conflict (Okamoto, 2016). During the future interview process, during which the records will be free to query the workers about their requirements in person and get their beneficial comments and prerequisites from the system, there will be a personal failure. Fortunately, by interfering with a small number of workers who will be very labor-intensive to assess or interview, this shortcoming may be rectified rather quickly.
