The social effect of illegal migration on undocumented immigrants. Illegal immigration to the US has been regarded as a serious national issue. Since the September 11 attacks, attention has been brought to border security. Besides these, migrants and immigrants face various social problems such as poverty, education, and housing.  As time goes on immigration continues to rise to the forefront of many country’s political debates.

The significance of the issue of social effects of illegal migration is as an Immigration Officer be able to understand how society plays a role in the illegal movement of people can help with the decision making of legislation also being able to outlining the push and pull factors of illegal migration.

In the past decade, unauthorized or undocumented immigrants and immigration enforcement has taken center stage with heated public debates and reform agendas. Generally, undocumented migrants include individuals that live in a country of designation without having valid residency permits (Fakhoury et al., 2021). Although the United States (U.S.) accords rights to asylum and refugees, undocumented immigrants suffer because of the inexistence of such rights. Fakhoury et al., (2021) reported that undocumented immigrants living in the U.S. face difficulties related to limited access to essential services, and social protection, which hinders their access to quality mental health services. Furthermore, undocumented status work in the low-skilled, informal sector, and precarious occupations with limited employee protection rights, exposing them to unwarranted exploitation and workplace abuses. As living and working conditions are strong determinants of physical, mental, and social health and well-being, it is important to investigate the social effects of illegal migration on undocumented immigrants. Understanding the social impact on mental health will help the United States tackle its effects on undocumented migrants.

The process of migration and adapting to the host country can be stressful not only for legal migrants but even more for undocumented immigrants, as it requires significant psychological and socio-cultural adaptations. While living in their host countries, undocumented migrants face various social problems such as poverty, education, crime, and poor housing that subsequently affect their mental health. According to Davies et al. (2009), migration is a primary social determinant of health for migrants, largely influenced by social inequities, social isolation, and poverty. The poor social determinants that influence undocumented immigrants’ health have seen a significant rise in severe and frequent mental health issues among the population (Fakhoury et al., 2021). To tackle the issues, it is important to examine how the illegal migration of undocumented immigrants affects their mental health from a social science perspective. Various social science sources can offer insight into the effects of illegal migration on undocumented migrants’ mental health because they recognize the importance of influencing structures on the societal, organizational, and individual levels. Consequently, the current study identified three main social science sources to inform the social effect of illegal migration on undocumented immigrants’ mental health.

Literature Search

As aforementioned, three main social science sources were selected to examine the main aim of the current study. An online literature search was conducted in various social science databases, keeping in mind the following main words: social effects, undocumented immigrants, and mental health. Specifically, three sources were identified: Social inequalities in mental health and mortality among refugees and other immigrants to Sweden–epidemiological studies of register data by Hollander (2013), Perspectives on health and well-being in social sciences by Nyman and Nilsen (2016), and Mental health of undocumented migrants and migrants undergoing regularization in Switzerland: a cross-sectional study by Fakhoury et al. (2021). The three sources focus on health and mental health among immigrants. However, Hollander (2013) mainly focuses on how health and well-being can be improved from a social scientific perspective. The three sources presented are relevant to the current study as they provide information that can be used to better understand the issue of mental health and well-being as a social issue among undocumented immigrants. Thus, they aid in proposing interdisciplinary approaches to reduce mental health issues among undocumented immigrants.

Literature Review

A further examination of the selected literature showed that the severe mental health issues among undocumented immigrants were mainly grounded on the social principles of fairness and equality. In their research, Fakhoury et al. (2021) examine how inequality in various domains of undocumented migrants living conditions prescribed by legal status regularization policies affected their mental health. According to the authors, undocumented immigrants experience high mental health conditions, mostly depression, anxiety, and sleep disturbance (Fakhoury et al., 2021). Particularly, the high prevalence of mental issues among undocumented immigrants was largely attributed to the lack of fairness and inequity experienced through unfair working conditions and abuse, limited or poor housing, poor social integration, and the lack of adequate medical interventions to tackle chronic ailments. While the long-term effects of legal status regularization on mental health among undocumented immigrants cannot yet be fully determined, it is clear that the inequities they face in gaining critical physical and social resources foster poor mental health.

Other researchers have also examined how various pre-and post-immigration factors affect the mental health status of undocumented immigrants and refugees. In her study, Hollander (2013) examines how social inequalities experienced by immigrants lead to poor mental health. Based on her findings, immigrants tended to have poor mental health than natives and were at a higher risk of hospitalization due to depression that was fueled by unemployment, especially among immigrant women. Accordingly, the inequality in unemployment acts as a critical social determinant for mental health among undocumented immigrants. Nyma and Nilsen (2016) explain that by focusing on the social scientific perspective, relevant stakeholders can gain important knowledge that can be used to include influential processes originating from societal factors that can be used to improve the conditions of undocumented immigrants.

Generally, the current study aimed to examine the social effects of illegal immigration on undocumented immigrants’ mental health by relying on various social science sources. It was discovered that undocumented immigrants faced a high prevalence of mental illnesses due to the inequalities and lack of fairness in providing favorable working conditions, living conditions, and lack of social integration support. Notably, the current research findings present critical information specifically for social services professionals, health experts, immigration officers, and policymakers dealing with undocumented immigrants’ legal status regularizations. While the social scientific terminology used in the current study might be considered complicated, the identified stakeholders should be able to comprehend the message of the findings fully.

Conclusion

Examination of published research revealed that mental health problems pose the greatest risk to undocumented migrants; thus, a need to develop policy solutions to tackle the problem. Overall, the current study aimed to investigate the social effects of illegal immigration on undocumented immigrants’ mental health. The reviewed social sciences sources revealed that undocumented immigrants faced significant inequality in working conditions, living conditions, and access to healthcare, which significantly increased the prevalence of mental health issues among the population. Accordingly, future research should focus on how the legal status of undocumented immigrants contributes to the social, economic, and political inequalities they face. As such, the following research question is proposed for future studies “How does the legal status of undocumented immigrants contribute to social and mental issues among the population?”. In answering these research questions, social scientists should focus on undocumented immigrants’ perceptions of how their legal status acts as a social health determinant. In essence, researchers can compare the prevalence of mental health issues among undocumented and legal immigrants to determine if their legal status fosters any differences in their mental health.

A company’s business plan lays out the steps that will be taken to reach the company’s goals. From a strategic, economic, and specific undertaking, a business plan sets out a documented, clear roadmap for the company. Both new and long-standing businesses use business plans. Establishing what has to happen in areas that are not bringing in as much money as possible or are losing money is considerably easier when you have an operational plan. Planning for a company’s future involves more than just figuring out how to compete with established competitors. Therefore, it also involves identifying and addressing the organization’s strengths and weaknesses, boosting efficiency, and setting measurable benchmarks for success.

Discussion

After the table of contents and the cover sheet, the executive summary is the most important part of the document. The basic marketing strategy is outlined in a manner that is concise yet comprehensive in this document. In most cases, the primary rundown will be between one and two pages long. It will include a brief representation of the concept and business, an opportunity and strategy, a target market and forecasts, leading hands, a group, and the requirements for financing (Ferreira & Pinheiro, 2018). Therefore, this fundamental part of the inquiry should establish the groundwork for the rest of it (business plan).

The purpose of writing an executive summary is to provide the reader with a concise summary of your organization that can be read in fewer than two pages and still conveys the essential information included in the entire collection. It is intended to provide a busy leader with the most important information and guide the reader to the sections that will answer the most important questions the leader may have. You might have stated in regular papers that this is a prologue to the arrangement, but in reality, it is everything but that. Even though it comes first in the project, the Executive Outline should be written after everything else. Thus, in this way, you understand what you are summarizing. Thus, if you manage it in advance, you may ensure that it will have a more conventional presentation.

The name of The Company is a Deloitte company that was founded in late 1890 to make and sell its strong brand value, auditing, advising, risk management, financial, and tax planning. To provide auditing and certification, consultancy, financial and risk-related counseling, risk management, tax, and associated services to select clients and independent companies worldwide working together under the Deloitte brand.

The company regulates and offers risk assessments of pharmaceutical products. To finish the development of the shipped product, the company needs to advertise products widely all over the world. The organization’s formation represented a significant step forward in testing a homeopathic equation initially applied by the organization (Johnson & Rohrer, 2018). The research and development for this product began when the corporation that was going to create and market the product was framed. The company’s first clientele included a few healthcare departments, bone, and joint specialists, genuine counselors, competitors, and others. Therefore, the company’s current clientele includes clinical specialists from various main strengths, athletic mentors, and rivals, both experts.

Mission and Vision should

Mission and Vision should be a concise declaration of the proposed association’s principal aim proclamation, much as the discussion on the Vision for the venture is intended. In conclusion, a description of basic companion beliefs and an explanation of why those ideas are relevant to this activity should be provided (McKeever, 2018). Similarly, this section needs to make a mental note of a brief talk regarding the code of values that this enterprise will get and operate inside. An organization’s mission statement explains what the group intends to accomplish and the motivations behind those endeavors. Hence, statements of purpose, analogous to vision explanations, must be more specific and, perhaps, more “action ordered” than vision explanations.

Business Goals need to modify a certain advertising and marketing strategy to make sufficient sales of their goods and services. A product/market advancement process involves developing new products, modifying old products, and providing those products to business sectors that are either currently active or active in the recent past. Focus on defining a development or management whereby advertising or authorizing income can be generated in this fashion, or more generally, a method focused on making an income by homing in on clients that an organization can service best and increasing the likelihood of their transformation into a client or customer. However, when compared to the views of the competition, the client’s perspective on the contribution is different.

Deloitte’s objective

The objective of Deloitte was to facilitate a global network of independent businesses staffed by many experts who offer audit and assurance, consultancy, financial and risk-based counseling, risk assessment, tax, and associated services to a select clientele. The organization has collected evidence from episodes, tributes, and uncontrolled clinical examinations to demonstrate that its services are more viable than other options. Aside from the added benefits of not having any oil or odor, the product’s capacity to alleviate pain is the most astounding advantage. Other advantages include the product’s absence of aroma and grease. The high-level homeopathic formula differentiates its product from some of its competitors. These perspectives are crucial elements of the advertising plan, including progress, timing, evaluation, delivery, publicizing, and promotion (Mariani, Bartoloni, & Morelli, 2019). Hence, they can be studied and portrayed in greater depth in the subsequent field-tested approach.

The essential success characteristics of an organization are the aspects that are most important to the organization’s overall success. Key success elements can also be referred to as critical success factors. A key success factor might be a specific aptitude or ability, a significant capacity, and something a company ought to perform to satisfy clients. Success in the service sector depends on several interrelated aspects, including product quality, customer satisfaction, team member morale, industry competition, cost management, precision in product development, promotion, and the ability to diversify offerings (Dal Mas et al., 2021). Hence, the following are critical success factors: Leadership, management, and strategic planning are of the utmost importance; Personnel, staff, learning, and professional advancement are all individual concerns; Work, Activities, and Processes; Customer Service, Sales, and a Responsive Attitude are Being Promoted, and Assets, Infrastructure, and Resource.

The disclosure of private patient information and the importation and reimportation of pharmaceuticals or disclosure of such services pose the most fundamental ethical concerns for any company. The ethical concerns raised by the Deloitte pricing model were given extensive coverage. However, there were a few notable omissions from the section devoted to the security of the pharmaceutical industry. If there were no customers, businesses and manufacturers would be unable to earn a profit, which would call into question the ethics of increasing the price of a medication whose formulation has not been altered. Therefore, a more significant breach in the organization’s moral code is the practice of selling a drug that can save people’s lives daily at a price that is so outrageous that many people cannot afford it.

In conclusion, a business plan is a very important and strategic tool since it allows entrepreneurs to map out the steps that must be taken to realize their Vision, pinpoint the resources they will need to get the job done and establish a schedule for when they will all be done. Hence, successful business owners know that having a well-thought-out plan is crucial to achieving their immediate and long-term goals.

My portion of this part of the project: B, C, Organization and then Opportunity statement in the situational analysis. Overview of the publics for the rest.

Public Perception:

Reputation – The reputation of Bright Star Books is good, for the people that are aware of this organization. They are a charity organization and most decent individuals respect that what they are doing is for the good of the children and education for those children.

Visibility – This is where Bright Star Books lacks the most. They have almost zero visibility online and offline. They are suffering from a major awareness issue currently and need social media influencers/experts to modify or promote their website and social media accounts. If this is done, the donations of books will be potentially tremendous in numbers in the right situations.

External Environment – The external environment is the 3-county area that Bright Star Books covers currently: Summit, Portage and Medina counties.

Supporters – The supporters of this organization are another struggle point. They see a lot of “one time” volunteers that come once and never return. Although, they do have a list of consistent volunteers that are willing to help out if need be; this list only consist of approximately 100 individuals.

Competitors – “We have no competitors” – Kait Laux.

Opposition – The opposition this organization currently faces is other organizations that are doing similar charity work such as: Akron Children’s Hospital and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The problem with these organizations is that they do not focus on low-income families, they are willing to give resources to those who don’t necessarily need it, while Bright Star Books does the opposite.

External Impediments – The only external impediment the organization currently has is lack of awareness on social media and how to go about improving that status. This is crucial to the organization reaching their target audience of moms with books to donate.

Opportunity Statement –

The problem with Bright Star Books is lack of awareness. This lack of awareness is both online and offline. We, the ACS agency believe if we increase awareness through various tactics that we can improve the donations of books to Bright Star Books.

Publics – The key public for Bright Star Books is wealthier, suburban moms in the area aforementioned. In order to get these publics involved, we need to raise awareness of this organization to these publics to get them to donate their unused books.

Overview of Publics – These publics live in the Hudson area, Macedonia area, Stow area, and Streetsboro areas. These are the wealthier parents that have had kids in the past and have extra books from a previous time in their lives that offers a lot to the organization if they could reach these publics.

The type of situation is an opportunity for the organization. The situation is opposition in the market that will pose competition to the organization. The entrance of other organizations dealing with the same services will be a challenge to Bright Star Books. Moreover, the entrance of new agencies will enable Bright Star Books to realize areas that need improvement to remain relevant in the market (Ritchie, 2022).

Regarding public perception, the visibility is where Bright Star Books lacks the most. They have almost zero visibility online and offline. They are suffering from a major awareness issue currently and need social media influencers/experts to modify or promote their website and social media accounts. If this is done, the donations of books will be potentially tremendous in numbers in the right situations.

Bright Star Books’ reputation is solid. The organization is a charity agency, and most people appreciate what the organization does since it benefits the kids in various ways, including educating kids. Moreover, Bright Star Books do not have visibility both offline and online. The company requires to market its services to the public through social media platforms to market its websites. On the other hand, the external environment for Bright Star Books includes supporters, opposition, competitors, and external impediments. This organization’s supporters see a lot of “one-time” helpers who come one time and never return. Despite having a list of reliable volunteers who are willing to assist if needed, this list is only about one hundred people long.

The opposition this organization currently faces is other organizations that are doing similar charity work such as: Akron Children’s Hospital and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. These are problems for Bright Star Books because these organizations do not focus on low-income families, they are willing to give resources to those who don’t necessarily need it, while Bright Star Books does the opposite. Furthermore, the external obstacle the agency currently faces is a lack of knowledge about media platforms and how to improve its status.

Opportunity Statement – The problem with Bright Star Books is lack of awareness. This lack of awareness is both online and offline. We, the ACS agency believe if we increase awareness through various tactics that we can significantly improve the number of donations of books to Bright Star Books.

The campaign will address the lack of awareness. The lack of knowledge about the agency is both offline and online. I believe that creating awareness of the agency through various techniques will aid improve book donations to the agency (Le Pennec, 2020).

Bright Star Books’ target audience is wealthier, suburban mothers in the above area. To get the people involved, we have to inform people of this organization and encourage them to donate their unused books. These audiences reside in the Macedonia, Hudson, Streetsboro, and Stow areas regarding public overview. These are the richer families who have previously had children and have additional books from a previous period of their lives that would help the company greatly if they could meet these audiences. The key public can also contribute to the agency if they are aware of the organization. Typically, the demographics of the public are white and more-affluent parents. The public should donate books that they are not using so that Bright Star Books can help needy kids to pursue their education.
