Wind power systems are engineering technologies used for the generation of electricity from wind resources. Example of these technologies are onshore and offshore wind turbines. Wind turbines are some of the commercially developed renewable technologies and contribute to reduction in carbon emissions. As part of your Engineering Practice 2 module, you are required to write a literature review based on the given specifications:

Learning Outcomes to be assessed

LO3 Research a topic, find relevant literature and produce a critical review.

To meet this learning outcome, it is expected that the literature review is constructed and completed to a standard commensurate with the academic level. The areas of spelling, grammar, punctuation will be reviewed by the marker along with the ability of the student to construct a meaningful discussion/argument on the selected subject area.

With regard to references, an appropriate referencing system must be employed and be consistently applied throughout. It is expected that a minimum of 10 appropriate quality sources are sited from journals, text books, e – books along with appropriate media and webpages. In summary you are expected to source a diverse range of material.
