The firm’s product has huge sugar contents, resulting in health complications such as diabetes and obesity (Guo and Wen, 2021, pp. 2879-2885). The increase in health concerns among people across the globe has reduced the consumption of Coca-Cola products. Further, the health experts have prohibited the consumption of soft drinks, which is the company’s primary product.
The company has also faced various issues concerning environmental conservation. According to the Tearfund report 2020. the company was ranked as the fourth most significant contributor to global warming and emitting carbon into the atmosphere through its activities (Nsomba, 2021. p.0003603X211045436). This creates a negative image concerning the firm to the consumers. There are also some significant complaints about its water management system as the company uses a huge volume of water during its activities.
Introduce new products and diversify its segments- the company has an opportunity to offer new products into the market to facilitate the provision of healthy food products, just like Pepsi. This will contribute to an increase in their revenue.
Increase presence in developing nations- the company should look forward to opening more branches in developing nations to take advantage of the available demand (Susilo, 2021. pp.118-126). The company should also look forward to increasing the packaged water to offer an opportunity for its consumers to enjoy healthy products and avoid the criticism on the carbonated and sugar soft drink products.
The company faces various threats such as water wastage controversy where there have been complaints that there is huge water consumption in water-scarce areas causing further water scarcity in the area(Byun, 2010. pp.125-143). Further, the company has also faced threats of various law suits as a result of increased plastic pollution. increased health consciousness as more people across the are against taking carbonated drinks or sugary products.
To increase the company’s competitive advantage, it needs to diversify its products. The firm needs to create more products within the food sector which are safe for human consumption. This strategy will help the firm to overcome the health challenge concerning the sale of soft drinks (Brondoni, 2019. pp.16-27). The company should also develop a corporate social strategy and start a campaign against environmental pollution. the company should control plastic pollution by creating a Centre to recycle plastic waste materials. This will help correct the brand image of the company. this will help cope with the threat of the lawsuits that faces the company as a result of environmental pollution. similarly, the firm should establish a strategy to conserve water and help to reduce water shortage in the world. In this case, the firm start strategies such as reusing water and conserving water catchment area.
The firm should take advantage of the well-established channel of distribution to introduce new products into the market. The company should take advantage of its operation in the world by introducing products such as food products and other beverages. This will help the firm to carry out its diversification strategies by the use of distribution channels to convey the products to the consumers. This will facilitate the success of the diversification strategy. However, stiff competition from well established firms like Pepsi is also a potential risk to the implementation of the strategy.
Setting up plastic recycling Centre to recycle the plastic bottles used. This strategy will help to protect the environment and reduce plastic pollution. this will help reduce the lawsuits against pollutions. Further, the company should start environmental protection campaigns by initiating projects to conserve water catchment areas. this will help resolve the water management crisis. The application of various resources to finance the project will enhance its success.
The availability of resources is one of the success indicators for the competitive strategy of the firm. The company has well established financial basis which can fund the introduction of new products into the market. Further, wide spread distribution channel across the globe will facilitate the marketing of new products which will facilitate the success of diversification strategy. Further, availability of resources will facilitate the establishment of plastic recycling Centre to reduce environmental pollution. this will help incr4ease the brand image of the company. one of the main challenges is tough competitors as the company introduces the new products into the market.

Ensuring clear communication with the client is one of the effective ways to ensure the quality of services rendered. The application of appropriate official language that the client understands to communicate variolous strategies that the organization should take is one way of ensuring the success of proposed strategies (Tanwar, 2013 pp.11-17). In this case, the application of simple language to illustrate the strategies facilitates their success. Motivation the clients towards better results is also another important approach that I would use when consulting, in this case, I would motivate the management and workers toward implementing the strategies to ensure that they are successful. Lastly, monitoring the implementation process of the strategies is important to identify issues that may hinder the success of the competitive strategy. I have learnt the communication is vital while consulting. Both the client and the consultant should openly communicate to one other to facilitate better outcomes. Similarly, one of the main challenges is the emergence of new competition in the business which needs the consultant to strategize.
