EBM 587: Strategic Business Marketing
In module three, there are various skills I have acquired in building my marketing strategy. The first skill is how to develop a marketing plan for diverse new markets. Here, I have learnt that diversity marketing involves showing the value of the products to the target customers. When the company is aligned with the value of the consumers, they are likely to share a global buying power and prefer purchasing products from the particular company. Thus, to diversify my new product line in the market, I have to develop a marketing mix comprised of both the social and cultural differences within the targeted geographical location. Besides, to ensure that my diversity marketing strategy is supported by diversity and inclusion, I have to gather an implementation plan that aligns with the business priorities with their equity and inclusion goals. Lastly, my implementation plan should comprise three sections: the commitment statement, an action plan, and the procedures for holding the team members accountable to the company’s merits and goals.
The second skill I gained the knowledge of the stages of the new product development process. This knowledge is crucial since I have to understand how to bring my original ideas and products to the market. Since my product line involves introducing Afia juice products into the markets located in the Northern USA, I have to learn the steps for designing and commercializing the product to transform my idea into a workable quality product. The first process involves obtaining ideas about the product, followed by reducing the number of ideas to eliminate the poor ideas and concentrate on the few promising ones. After that, the ideas are tested to determine their degree of success. The successful and attractive ideas are then expressed from the consumer’s viewpoint. The products can be tested against the competitors to determine their position in the market. This can be achieved by testing the products against the target customers group to obtain their responses and reactions. After carrying out these steps, it is easy to formulate the most effective marketing strategy for the target product.
Lastly, I have been able to apply the knowledge of environmental variables to differentiate between the domestic and international markets. Since the international business environment is developing quickly due to technological advancements and the high rate of globalization, thus, the growth of global trade has enabled the companies to explore new markets. Environmental factors such as the country’s legal practices, technology, politics, and social structure can negatively or positively impact the business.
The economic environment has a direct effect on both domestic and global businesses. Thus, to decide whether to maintain the business locally or take it global, it is essential to conduct thorough research on the countries or regions of operations. Also, this would be accompanied by understanding the interest and inflation rates on the imports and exports involving the intended business. Politics is another variable that has to be differentiated between global and local businesses. The political and legal environment of the foreign markets has a direct impact on the business since the laws change from one country to the other. Within the local market, the business is regulated by the laws and regulations of the residing country. On the other hand, a business may be required to comply with the political laws of the countries where it might decide to carry out its business in cases of the international markets.

Discussion on Levels of leadership us history essay help

Topic: Levels of leadership ( US Army related)

In the ArmyArmy and the military, divisions are divided into various distinct groups found throughout the ranks. It is impossible to overstate the significance of these rankings. Leadership that effectively delegated the job of leading less experienced and educated fighters to more experienced and educated combatants is called for. Considering that leadership is an interdisciplinary issue, it may be found in any company, regardless of the industry or area in which it operates. Leadership is also related to the United States Armed Forces, a concept in the American military (USAF). During their military careers, soldiers are requested to engage in activities that will assist them in improving their leadership skills (LD). The United States Army has high expectations when it comes to leadership development. These expectations are based on democratic values and ideals and the high standards of performance that the United States has set. According to the ArmyArmy, the ArmyArmy defines leadership as “influencing others via a sense of purpose, direction, and inspiration, while simultaneously attempting to achieve the goal and improve the organization,” according to the ArmyArmy. A leader’s talents can be used at all three levels of leadership: direct, organizational, and strategic. There are a variety of requirements that must be completed to acquire each level of leadership, all of which are reliant on fundamental qualities. A leader’s responsibilities and authority get more complicated as they advance through the ranks due to the interconnection of their responsibilities and power. All levels of management in the business environment must plan for the possibility of unforeseen events that might have strategic or political repercussions for the organization.
When it comes to tactical units and TDA organizations, “direct level leadership” refers to those in charge of them at the squad, battalion, and division levels. This kind of leadership is defined by the capacity to form cohesive teams, transfer authority to subordinates, and execute strategies that put policies into action and help the organization accomplish its objectives. All aspects of human conduct, including values and ethics, are impacted by the face-to-face interpersonal leadership required. Directors and managers must have good analytical and intuitive decision-making abilities, strong interpersonal skills, and the capacity to work on their initiative. Short-term planning and goal attainment occupy most direct leaders’ time for durations ranging from three months to a year or more.
Leadership at the organizational level may be found in the positions of the brigade, corps, directorate, and installation heads (in TDA organizations) and the assistant to the Undersecretary of the Army. Organizational leaders cannot achieve success only by providing resources to meet the demands of their organizations and activities. They must do more than that. Their responsibilities include overseeing many objectives, providing an overall vision, and ensuring that employees have the flexibility and authority necessary to carry out their responsibilities. Increasing complexity and human interaction are increasing unpredictability and unpredictability, as is the number of unexpected outcomes as the world gets more complicated and human. Rules and system integration are more crucial in defining their authority than face-to-face engagement when deciding their strength. Coordinating systems and organizations, planning, programming, budgeting, and execution, are all talents that business executives must be able to demonstrate (PPBE). The ability to communicate effectively, negotiate effectively, think logically, and interact with others are all required for this role since their policies influence the command climate. They must be able to make tough choices and work through obstacles and have a complete understanding of the whole spectrum of operations to succeed. In this group of leaders, long-term planning and accomplishing their tasks are very important.
The Army’sArmy’s strategic leadership comprises a combination of military and civilian authority at all levels, from divisions and corps to the national level. Structure and resource distribution are two of the most critical responsibilities of a strategic leader, and they are intertwined. To be a successful strategic leader, one must manage the ArmyArmy, develop and implement strategic plans, guidelines, and laws, prioritize overarching Army programs against competing interests, and communicate Army programs and policies to the highest levels of the Department of Defense and the federal government, among other responsibilities. This category encompasses all of the tasks stated above as well as others. Keeping an eye on the external environment is essential for strategic leaders to maintain focus and a thorough understanding of the context they will play a role shortly. This personnel must be able to exhibit experience in company administration and budgetary restraint. The activities of these executives have a significant impact on the political climate and the organization’s staff and resources, among other things. While direct and organizational responsibilities are important, strategic leaders should also be familiar with the Department of Defense, the federal government, legislative procedures, and the military’s expansion. Interpersonal skills aid in building consensus, negotiating agreements, and influencing peers and politicians. When it comes to sophisticated decision-making, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking abilities, strategic leaders must set an example for the rest of the organization by their words, judgments, and actions that inspire the whole organization. While maintaining professional integrity, goals, and direction, they must make remarks that are consistent with Army traditions, beliefs, and ethical standards, among other things. Business strategists are primarily interested in a company’s long-term vision, ranging from five to twenty years or more in length.
In conclusion, personnel who fall behind in their schooling have difficulty keeping up with the rapid pace of change in the United States Armed Forces if they want to maintain their military positions. According to the Army, the success of a continuous growth plan is dependent on the ability to work collaboratively with others. Soldiers must be encouraged and made aware of their expectations if they are to be successful. The first step toward improvement is an assessment of one’s strengths, weaknesses, potential, and areas for progress. Leaders must be on the lookout for students’ individual learning objectives and ensure that they get their assistance. Soldiers who get timely and specific feedback are better able to identify possibilities for growth and development that benefit themselves and the ArmyArmy, resulting in increased productivity and morale.

Research on importance of distance in the workplace. history assignment help company: history assignment help company

Life now is substantially different than it was 50 years ago. Some people believe the changes were for the better, while others believe they were for the worst. True, life was simpler 50 years ago than it is now. Life was slower 50 years ago, and families were able to spend more time together. They would be able to attend family events such as weddings and Eid. Furthermore, the expense of living was lower 50 years ago than it is now. They only need a few ringgits per day to buy groceries and other necessities, or they can grow vegetables or rear animals such as chickens, cows, and goats for food. Regardless, I believe life now is significantly better than it was 50 years ago. Today’s life is more technologically advanced. To begin with, technology provides a great deal of convenience and amenity.
Computer technology is minimizing the importance of distance in the workplace. Many industries are experiencing major shifts in the regional distribution of employment. Some software companies have discovered, for example, that they can get around the shortage of software engineers in their home country by outsourcing their work to countries like India or other low-wage locales (Lee, 2002). Because of the time disparities, such arrangements allow for projects to be worked on practically continuously. Telecomms can be used by companies to keep their marketing, research, and distribution teams in close contact with their manufacturing counterparts.
Because of this tight division of labor between countries, the demand for particular skills in each nation is affected by the use of technology. Different sorts of labor and employment can now be separated because to technological advancements. With more companies deciding where their operations should be based, competition for infrastructure, manpower, capital and other resources will heat up (Lee, 2002). Regulation exploitation is also made possible, since corporations can now pick and choose which tax authorities and other legislation, they want to be subject to. As a result of globalization, country-to-country inequality has increased, but wealth disparity has been steadily decreasing for years. Developing countries like China and India, where hundreds of millions of people have seen their living standard rise, are largely responsible for this (BBC, 2019). As a result, for the first time since the Industrialization, more than half of the world’s population may be classified as middle-class citizens.
Now we need to reach someone, we call them on their telephones, fax them, send them an e-mail, or have a video conference with them. Presently, we have access to the internet, which connects us to Facebook, Twitter, Skype, and other social media platforms. Furthermore, we can use the internet to seek for global information. When we wish to travel overseas, we simply need to contact an airline ticket agency and purchase tickets electronically. Everything is lot easier when you use a smartphone because it is all there at your fingers. As a result, we may claim that life now is better than it was years ago due to technological advancements. The internet offers a plethora of other functions outside simply making connections. We may even earn revenue via the web, as an example, which allows Malaysians sell and buy products online. eBay is another site where you may pay bills and buy items.
As a last point, human rights have been protected for more than half a century. Now, women have the freedom to pursue their dreams (Amnesty Intl, n.d). They can pursue a career that is a perfect match for their interests and passions. They have the freedom to go out and meet new people. When we look back 50 years, women were mainly housewives who had to take care of their families and their husbands and children. Even if they wanted to go out on their own, their husbands would have to give them permission.
In the 1950s, women were often prohibited from continuing their education or working in a career they were interested in. However, in many sectors nowadays, we can witness women at the top of their game (Bustreo et al., 2013). The rights of children are just as vital as those of adults. In the United States, children have the right to receive unconditional love from their parents. They are also entitled to go to school and further their education. However, 50 years ago, children had to work as slaves. Their educational rights were not protected. Human rights are significantly better today than they were fifty years ago, as has already been said.
To summarize, life is better today than it was 50 years ago. People nowadays live in a technologically advanced world that makes their daily tasks easier. We now have contemporary cars that can carry us to different locations more quickly. We have communication systems that assist us in making connections with others. Human rights have been safeguarded today. There are no longer any women or children who are suppressed or oppressed in this way. To put it another way, life today is far better than it was 50 years ago.

We have learned the need for values and ethics in any organizational set up throughout the course. However, we did not learn the prerequisites and challenges of attaining such ethics. The video comes in handy to explain several issues not dealt with directly in the course. In the video, we learn aspects such as when the need for integrity surpasses the need to attain results and vice versa. The video talks about the difference between leadership and discipline. I learned that being a disciplinarian does not necessarily mean that one is a good leader. I also learned the importance of gauging between fairness and integrity when handling various issues that may arise in an organization setup.
One point I feel that should be included in the course is how we treat each other. In many cases, we only learn about structures in an organizational setup and how we are supposed to respect our superiors. However, I feel there is more to organization and company success than just appreciating the established structures. There should be mechanisms and systems in place that should make people in an organization become colleagues and one big family that makes everyone feel involved in running various affairs with the ultimate aim of attaining the overall goals. Once this is achieved, many other issues will be a thing of the past.
