The best method of communicating with your cooperating teacher is verbal and through e-mail. Phone call and texting is another wat for effective communication.

The school philosophy, policies, calendar, and daily schedule

Liberty County Schools philosophy is to provide all students and education which promotes excellence, good citizenship, and a loving of learning. The district moto is Excellence in Everything “Results No Excuses”. First day of school started on August 2, 2022 with the last day ending on May 19th, 2022. Their daily schedule is Monday -Friday 7:20 am -2:20 pm.

Teachers are expected to dress professionally and behave professionally. Our school does have days where teachers are students are allowed to dress down in jeans and a spirit shirts. The goal is for students to enjoy learning and teachers to enjoy teaching all this happen from the reflection of us and how we act.

Required reports and recordkeeping, grading standards, and discipline procedures

The teachers are required to do weekly lesson plans, grading as for special education teachers are required to do monthly paperwork on students (progress monitoring) keep all IEP’s current and up to date. Make sure all accomidations are followed so that our students are getting the best education possible Information on students can not be used if it’s out dated. Great and effective communication with your teachers as they can offer feedback to be used on students. The grading standards is on a letter grade of A through F scale. Our discipline procedures are that all students must follow all Liberty County school rules and Code of Conduct. If any student does not comply the following actions take place based on their actions. Detention, lunch Detention, In- School Suspension (ISS), or OUT- of School Suspension (OSS). If the student is suspended for a period of10 days a Disciplinary Tribunal hearing will be held to determined if the student can return to school.

District/school resources provided based upon the learning expectations

Teachers use Core content pacing, standard and Instructional resources. The Georgia Standards of Exellence is also used to provide the learning expections.

Expectations for students, routines, procedures, and an established classroom management plan.

The students expectations are to attend school and be on their best behavior treat other with respect, follow the rules, come to school on time and complete all assignment given.

How can you apply your findings to your future professional career? I currently teaching in an inclusion classroom setting as a co-teacher and I hope to learn more over this course to prepare me for my own student success
