Assignment 1 Questions: Week 2 & Week 3
Case Study:1 (5 Marks)
Please read the case “The Minimum Wage” from Chapter 6 “Supply, Demand, and Government Policies” Page: – 117 given in your textbook – “Principles of Macroeconomics”. A case study discusses the federal minimum-wage law.
Questions: 1
Suppose the minimum wage is above the equilibrium wage in the market for unskilled labor. Using a supply and-demand diagram of the market for unskilled labor, show the market wage, the number of workers who are employed, and the number of workers who are unemployed. Also show the total wage payments to unskilled workers. (100 – 150 words – 1.25 point)
Now suppose the secretary of labor proposes an increase in the minimum wage. What effect would this increase have on employment? Does the change in employment depend on the elasticity of demand, the elasticity of supply, both elasticities, or neither? (100 – 150 words – 1.25 point)
What effect would this increase in the minimum wage have on unemployment? Does the change in unemployment depend on the elasticity of demand, the elasticity of supply, both elasticities, or neither? (100 – 150 words – 1.25 point)
If the demand for unskilled labor were inelastic, would the proposed increase in the minimum wage raise or lower total wage payments to unskilled workers? Would your answer change if the demand for unskilled labor were elastic? (100 – 150 words – 1.25 point)
Important Note: – Support your submission with course material concepts, principles, and theories from the textbook.
Questions: 2 (5 Marks)
Should a nation tend to export or import goods for which it has a comparative advantage? Explain. Why do economists oppose policies that restrict trade among nations? (Minimum 500 words). (2.5 Marks)

Leadership and Team Simulation: Everest V3 – Individual Activity This award-winning simulation
Corporate Proposal III: Windows and Linux Integration Computer Science Assignment Help Leadership and Team Simulation: Everest V3 – Individual Activity
This award-winning simulation uses the dramatic context of a Mount Everest expedition to reinforce student learning in group dynamics and leadership. Students play one of 5 roles on a team of climbers attempting to summit the mountain. During each round of play they must collectively discuss whether to attempt the next camp en route to the summit. Ultimately, teams must climb through 5 camps in 6 simulated days totaling approximately 1.5 actual hours of seat time. Team members analyze information on weather, health conditions, supplies, goals, and hiking speed, and determine how much of that information to communicate to their teammates. Along the journey, the team must also make decisions in response to 3 hidden challenges which affect their ascent, hiking speed, health, and overall success.
Learning Objective
To learn how to build, participate in, and lead effective teams, as well as to examine:
1. How teams can improve the way they make decisions,
2. How opposing interests and asymmetric information affect team dynamics,
3. How leaders shape team decision-making and performance in competitive and time-sensitive situations,
4. How teams and their leaders deal with tradeoffs between short-term task completion and longer-term team effectiveness, and
5. How cognitive biases impair decision making.

The impact of time management on the success of service organizations
The study has discussed the effect of time management on service organizations. There are specific goals of the study that the author and influence follow are determined through two variables. The variable of time management was the first variable, and service organization was the second. Organizational performance and creative leadership are the essential factors discussed in the study (Abdel-Hussein, 2020).
The Impact of Time Management on Students’ Academic Achievement
(S N A M Razali, 2018) has discussed time management for the students. He has discussed that all the students have different abilities to perform, but there are different factors to the performance. Today’s students claim they do not have enough time to complete their tasks. The study has been conducted to determine the relationship between time management and the ability to perform in academics. Time management behaviours are important, and there is no significant impact of race or gender on performance. The author has analyzed the different behaviours related to time management, and it has become important for the students to determine the importance of time.
Comparison of two studies
Both the studies are in the same genre, and the authors have applied time management as the similarity. The audiences of both studies are different. The first study was delivered to the service organizations, and the second was for the students. Both authors have learned similar concepts: time is essential for success, and it is too good to have time management principles. The study’s author regarding the service organization has used the variables and statistical analysis in his study, but the other study has not employed the statistical concept. Though the tabular forms and the graphical aesthetic have been used in the second study, the first author must learn them. Both the articles are useful, and packaged information was not to ignore time management and to make it an essential part of our lives.
Rhetorical Analysis
Both the studies are the same in the genre but different in style and audience. The study by (Abdel-Hussein, 2020) is based on logos and pathos; the authors have beautified the articles by giving logical statements and facts. On the other hand, the study by (S N A M Razali, 2018) is based mostly on ethos because emotional appeals have been made to students to learn time management. Both authors’ style is severe, and the material is helpful to understand.
