1.  Introduction Big data has attracted considerable interest in research and industry communities due to its strategic potential to achieve and sustain a  firm’s  competitive advantage (George et al., 2014; McAfee and Brynjolfsson, 2012; Khan and Vorley, 2017; Rothberg and Erickson, 2017; Zeng and Glaister, 2018).  
Especially,  with  the  development  of  the  Internet  of  Things  (IoT),  more  and  more  devices, manufacturing tools, plants and vehicles of manufacturing enterprises are being equipped with sensors to capture data at all stages of  a product’s life (Fichman al., 2014). Various industries are adopting IoT  technologies  to  generate  big  data  (Côrte-Real  et  al.  2019).  It  is  forecasted  that  by  2020,  the number  of  connected  IoT  devices  will  be  between  26  billion  (Gartner)  and  75  billion  (Morgan Stanley). There is a general belief that IoT will become ubiquitous in the next decade and will be able to generate vast amounts of data that can be analyzed to create value to firms (Shamim et al., 2018). In this current data-driven digital economy (Bharadwaj et al., 2013), more interconnected intelligent devices  and  equipment  are  increasing  produce  tremendous  amounts  of  machine  operation  and production  data.  Industrial  big  data  may  eventually  overshadow  physical  resources  as  the  main driving forces that re-shape the sustainable competitive advantage of a firm (Davenport, 2013; Chen et al., 2012; Davenport and Patil, 2012; Koutroumpis and Leiponen, 2013; George et al., 2014; Zeng and Zaheer, 2018).  As  industrial  big  data  could  be  an  important  source  of  sustainable  competitive  advantage,  many organizations  are  exploring  ways  of  deploying  and  harnessing  data  resources  (Davenport,  2013; Waller and Fawcett, 2013; Wamba et al., 2017),but there remains a long way to transform traditional industrial manufacturing to smart manufacturing using the volume, velocity and variety of data they  
already have. But as Kusiak (2017) contended: “most  companies  do  not  know what to  do with the  
data they have,  let alone  how to interpret them to  improve their  process  and  products”, industrial manufacturing face data gaps.  Indeed, merely possessing such technology-based data resource does not grantee the development of competitive advantages (Barney and Arikan, 2001; Priem and Butler, 2001a, 2001b;  Sirmon et  al.,  2007;  Zeng and  Glaister, 2018). Recently, researchers  and managers have realized the importance for empirical investigation of the comprehensive process of transforming big data to create value (Bharadwaj et al., 2013; George et al., 2014; Goes, 2014; Munford, 2014).

This  study  aims  to  unpack  the  blackbox  of  industry  big  data  implementation  for  sustainable competitive advantage. As  Perteraf  and  Barney(2003)  noted  “competitive  advantage  derive  from  having  more  efficiency

However, the process of how  managers/firms  transform  resources  to  competitive  advantages  has  yet  to  be  fully  explored (Adner and Helfat, 2003; Helfat and Winter, 2011; Helfat et al.,2007; Ndofor et al., 2011; Sirmon et al., 2007, 2011; Zeng and Khan,2018). Expecially the dynamic business environments characterised by  hypercompetition,  fast  technology  innovation  and  entrepreneurial  action  are  undermine  the sustainability of a competitive advantage (Sirmon et al., 2010). Chapter 2 ended with the provocative Pinto Fires case, highlighting some of the sordid events in the history of the Pinto fires problem. As the authors indicate later in this chapter, I was involved with this infamous case in the early 1970s. They have asked me to reflect on lessons learned from my experience.
I take this case very personally, even though my name seldom comes up in its many recountings. I was one of those “faceless bureaucrats” who is often portrayed as making decisions without accountability and then walking away from them—even decisions with life‐and‐death implications. That characterization is, of course, far too stark and superficial. I certainly don’t consider myself faceless, and I have always chafed at the label of bureaucrat as applied to me, even though I have found myself unfairly applying it to others. Furthermore, I have been unable to walk away from my decisions in this case. They have a tendency to haunt—especially when they have such public airings as those involved in the Pinto fires debacle have had.
But why revisit decades old decisions, and why take them so personally? Here’s why: because I was in a position to do something about a serious problem—and didn’t. That simple observation gives me pause for personal reflection and also makes me think about the many difficulties people face in trying to be ethical decision makers in organizations. It also helps me to keep in mind the features of modern business and organizational life that would influence someone like me (me, of all people, who purposefully set out to be an ethical decision maker) to overlook basic moral issues in arriving at decisions that, when viewed retrospectively, look absurdly easy to make. But they are not easy to make, and that is perhaps the most important lesson of all.
 
 
The Personal Aspect  
I would like to reflect on my own experience mainly to emphasize the personal dimensions involved in ethical decision making. Although I recognize that there are strong organizational influences at work as well, I would like to keep the critical lens focused for a moment on me (and you) as individuals. I believe that there are insights and lessons from my experience that can help you think about your own likely involvement in issues with ethical overtones.
First, however, a little personal background. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, I was an engineering/MBA student; I also was an “activist,” engaged in protests of social injustice and the social irresponsibility of business, among other things. I held some pretty strong values that I thought would stand up to virtually any challenge and enable me to “do the right thing” when I took a career job. I suspect that most of you feel that you also have developed a strongly held value system that will enable you to resist organizational inducements to do something unethical. Perhaps. Unfortunately, the challenges do not often come in overt forms that shout the need for resistance or ethical righteousness. They are much more subtle than that, and thus doubly difficult to deal with because they do not make it easy to see that a situation you are confronting might actually involve an ethical dilemma.
After school, I got the job of my dreams with Ford and, predictably enough, ended up on the fast track to promotion. That fast track enabled me to progress quickly into positions of some notable responsibility. Within two years I became Ford’s vehicle recall coordinator, with first‐level responsibility for tracking field safety problems. It was the most intense, information‐overloaded job you can imagine, frequently dealing with some of the most serious problems in the company. Disasters were a phone call away, and action was the hallmark of the office where I worked. We all knew we were engaged in serious business, and we all took the job seriously. There were no irresponsible bureaucratic ogres there, contrary to popular portrayal.
In this context, I first encountered the neophyte Pinto fires problem in the form of infrequent reports of cars erupting into horrendous fireballs in very low‐speed crashes and the shuddering personal experience of inspecting a car that had burned, killing its trapped occupants. Over the space of a year, I had two distinct opportunities to initiate recall activities concerning the fuel tank problems, but on both occasions I voted not to recall, despite my activist history and advocacy of business social responsibility.
The key question is how, in the space of two short years, I could have engaged in a decision process that appeared to violate my own strong values—a decision process whose subsequent manifestations continue to be cited by many observers as a supposedly definitive study of corporate unethical behavior. I tend to discount the obvious accusations: that my values weren’t really strongly held; that I had turned my back on my values in the interest of loyalty to Ford; that I was somehow intimidated into making decisions in the best interests of the company; that despite my principled statements I had not actually achieved a high stage of moral development, and so on. Instead, I believe a more plausible explanation for my own actions looks to the foibles of normal human information processing.
I would argue that the complexity and intensity of the recall coordinator’s job required that I develop cognitive strategies for simplifying the overwhelming amount of information I had to deal with. The best way to do that is to structure the information into cognitive “schemas,” or more specifically “script schemas,” that guide understanding and action when facing common or repetitive situations. Scripts offer marvelous cognitive shortcuts because they allow you to act virtually unconsciously and automatically, and thus permit handling complicated situations without being paralyzed by needing to think consciously about every little thing. Such scripts enabled me to discern the characteristic hallmarks of problem cases likely to result in recall and to execute a complicated series of steps required to initiate a recall.
All of us structure information all of the time; we could hardly get through the workday without doing so. But there is a penalty to be paid for this wonderful cognitive efficiency: We do not give sufficient attention to important information that requires special treatment, because the general information pattern has surface appearances indicating that automatic processing will suffice. That, I think, is what happened to me. The beginning stages of the Pinto case looked for all the world like a normal sort of problem. Lurking beneath the cognitive veneer, however, was a nasty set of circumstances waiting to conspire into a dangerous situation. Despite the awful nature of the accidents, the Pinto problem did not fit an existing script; the accidents were relatively rare by recall standards, and the accidents were not initially traceable to a specific component failure. Even when a failure mode suggesting a design flaw was identified, the cars did not perform significantly worse in crash tests than competitor vehicles. One might easily argue that I should have been jolted out of my script by the unusual nature of the accidents (very low speed, otherwise unharmed passengers trapped in a horrific fire), but those facts did not penetrate a script cued for other features. (It also is difficult to convey to the layperson that bad accidents are not a particularly unusual feature of the recall coordinator’s information field. Accident severity is not necessarily a recall cue; frequently repeated patterns and identifiable causes are.)
 
 
The Corporate Milieu  
In addition to the personalized scripting of information processing, there is another important influence on the decisions that led to the Pinto fires mess: the fact that decisions are made by individuals working within a corporate context. It has escaped almost no one’s notice that the decisions made by corporate employees tend to be in the best interest of the corporation, even by people who mean to do better. Why? Because socialization processes and the overriding influence of organizational culture provide a strong, if generally subtle, context for defining appropriate ways of seeing and understanding. Because organizational culture can be viewed as a collection of scripts, scripted information processing relates even to organizational‐level considerations. Scripts are context bound; they are not free‐floating general cognitive structures that apply universally. They are tailored to specific contexts. And there are few more potent contexts than organizational settings.
There is no question that my perspective changed after joining Ford. In retrospect, I would be very surprised if it hadn’t. In my former incarnation as a social activist, I had internalized values for doing what was right, as I understood rightness in grand terms; but I had not internalized a script for applying my values in a pragmatic business context. Ford and the recall coordinator role provided a powerful context for developing scripts—scripts that were inevitably and undeniably oriented toward ways of making sense that were influenced by the corporate and industry culture.
I wanted to do a good job, and I wanted to do what was right. Those are not mutually exclusive desires, but the corporate context affects their synthesis. I came to accept the idea that it was not feasible to fix everything that someone might construe as a problem. I therefore shifted to a value of wanting to do the greatest good for the greatest number (an ethical value tempered by the practical constraints of an economic enterprise). Doing the greatest good for the greatest number meant working with intensity and responsibility on those problems that would spare the most people from injury. It also meant developing scripts that responded to typical problems, not odd patterns like those presented by the Pinto.
Another way of noting how the organizational context so strongly affects individuals is to recognize that one’s personal identity becomes heavily influenced by corporate identity. As a student, my identity centered on being a “good person” (with a certain dose of moral righteousness associated with it). As recall coordinator, my identity shifted to a more corporate definition. This is an extraordinarily important point, especially for students who have not yet held a permanent job role, and I would like to emphasize it. Before assuming your career role, identity derives mainly from social relationships. Upon putting on the mantle of a profession or a responsible position, identity begins to align with your role. And information processing perspective follows from that identity.
I remember accepting the portrayal of the auto industry and Ford as “under attack” from many quarters (oil crises, burgeoning government regulation, inflation, litigious customers, etc.). As we know, groups under assault develop into more cohesive communities that emphasize commonalities and shared identities. I was by then an insider in the industry and the company, sharing some of their beleaguered perceptions that there were significant forces arrayed against us and that the well‐being of the company might be threatened.
What happened to the original perception that Ford was a socially irresponsible giant that needed a comeuppance? Well, it looks different from the inside. Over time, a reasonable value for action against corporate dominance became tempered by another reasonable value that corporations serve social needs and are not automatically the villains of society. I saw a need for balance among multiple values, and, as a result, my identity shifted in degrees toward a more corporate identity.
 
 
The Torch Passes to You  
So, given my experiences, what would I recommend to you, as a budding organizational decision maker? I have some strong opinions. First, develop your ethical base now! Too many people do not give serious attention to assessing and articulating their own values. People simply do not know what they stand for because they haven’t thought about it seriously. Even the ethical scenarios presented in classes or executive programs are treated as interesting little games without apparent implications for deciding how you intend to think or act. These exercises should be used to develop a principled, personal code that you will try to live by. Consciously decide your values. If you don’t decide your values now, you are easy prey for others who will gladly decide them for you or influence you implicitly to accept theirs.
Second, recognize that everyone, including you, is an unwitting victim of his or her own cognitive structuring. Many people are surprised and fascinated to learn that they use schemas and scripts to understand and act in the organizational world. The idea that we automatically process so much information so much of the time intrigues us. Indeed, we would all turn into blithering idiots if we did not structure information and expectations, but that very structuring hides information that might be important—information that could require you to confront your values. We get lulled into thinking that automatic information processing is great stuff that obviates the necessity for trying to resolve so many frustrating decisional dilemmas.
Actually, I think too much ethical training focuses on supplying standards for contemplating dilemmas. The far greater problem, as I see it, is recognizing that a dilemma exists in the first place. The insidious problem of people not being aware that they are dealing with a situation that might have ethical overtones is another consequence of schema usage. I would venture that scripted routines seldom include ethical dimensions. Is a person behaving unethically if the situation is not even construed as having ethical implications? People are not necessarily stupid, ill‐intentioned, or Machiavellian, but they are often unaware. They do indeed spend much of their time cruising on automatic, but the true hallmark of human information processing is the ability to switch from automatic to controlled information processing. What we really need to do is to encourage people to recognize cues that build a “Now Think!” step into their scripts—waving red flags at yourself, so to speak—even though you are engaged in essentially automatic cognition and action.
Third, because scripts are context‐bound and organizations are potent contexts, be aware of how strongly, yet how subtly, your job role and your organizational culture affect the ways you interpret and make sense of information (and thus affect the ways you develop the scripts that will guide you in unguarded moments). Organizational culture has a much greater effect on individual cognition than you would ever suspect (see Chapter 5).
Last, be prepared to face critical responsibility at a relatively young age, as I did. You need to know what your values are, and you need to know how you think so that you can know how to make a good decision. Before you can do that, you need to articulate and affirm your values now, before you enter the fray. I wasn’t really ready. Are you?

Over the past decade, the Tesla organization has developed rapidly. A group of engineers was determined to prove the value of electricity compared to gasoline cars. They founded the company in 2003. They believed that the enhancement and reformation of electric vehicles could make them faster and more enjoyable than gasoline cars (Tesla, 2022). Recently, Tesla has focused on building electric vehicles and ensuring that they generate clean and store products appropriately. The company has created various models since then. For instance, launching the Roadster in 2008. The product revealed the company’s advanced battery and electric powertrain technology.  
Other models designed by Tesla include Model S, an electric premium car, Model X, safest, most portable, and quickest electric vehicle. Model 3, an electric car which customers can purchase at low prices, and Model Y, an SUV with a carrying capacity of seven, and a cyber-truck (Tesla, 2022). These vehicles are produced at Shanghai, Fremont, and California factories. Tesla has a goal of having the safest factories worldwide, which it intends to achieve by taking a proactive safety technique. Among its safety goals involves creating an energy ecosystem that manages renewable energy. Despite the many developments, there is still room for advancement in Tesla. Thus, the purpose of the study is to explain, evaluate and critique the organizational structure of Tesla by employing specific concepts and models.
 
 
 
2.1 Tesla Mission Statement.
Previously, the organization’s mission was “To quicken the globe’s evolution to maintainable transport. However, later around 2016, the firm modified its mission statement. Telsa’s current mission focuses on “accelerating the globe’s evolution to maintainable energy (Panmore Institute, 2018). Mainly, this statement showcases a change in the organization’s corporate operations to addressing renewable energy market prospects. Specifically, it recognizes the importance of batteries and other energy products in the market.  
The mission elements include: To quicken, the globe’s evolution, and viable energy (Panmore Institute, 2018). The term “to accelerate” portrays the firm’s role in creating quality goods that depend on sustainable energy. Conversely, “the world’s transition” stipulates the company’s supposition of success globally. The mission also mentions evolving towards viable energy forms. The firm intends on ensuring that its mission statement matches the firm’s objectives. Thus, the trend that Tesla has established is greatly impacted the industry. The sector is struggling to keep up because Tesla constantly updates and redesigns its products.  
Moreover, the customers equally provide new information on the 4G wireless network in the cars. They use this data to make improvements on the cars. Tesla is unlike the average vehicle industry. The company experiences a dynamic environment that affects other departments in the organization. Other industries in which the firm is participating are also liable to constant changes. For instance, the innovations in solar energy are after each other, which creates a dynamic environment.
The environment Tesla is operating in is also complex. Notably, it built a Gigafactory to produce its electric vehicle batteries and power wall (Tesla, 2022). In business, this is known as vertical integration, which allows the firm to have more control over the entire production process. Thus this reduces the total dependence on suppliers. Although it reduces their complexity, the uncertainty in the environment increases.
The firm can analyze its environment to measure its uncertainty. The common method of analysis is the grid method. Tesla can identify any changes in the external environment that can impact the firm. The method allows one to make strategic decisions. Specifically, the grid defines the type of environment the company is in by showing whether the type of environment can benefit the firm or introduce new technology to add value to the products. From the grid, Tesla is operating in a complex and dynamic environment. The company should consider a fairer means of operation. For example, in the grid, when the degree change is constant in a stable and dynamic environment, and the degree of complexity is low, simple external factors have less effect in the environment, plus the processes are simple.

The advantage of this corporate culture is that it enhances the market influence of the firm by enabling it to develop high and quality technology customers that attract customers. For instance, combining automobiles with its branding increases its market share. Consequently, this coincides with Tesla’s standard intensive growth and competitive strategies. To develop a more predictive set of a company’s performance, Tesla can employ the “balanced scorecard. “The tool’s purpose is to match operational measures on customer satisfaction, innovation, and other internal processes with financial measures. A balanced scorecard assists an organization in answering questions related to the customer, internal, innovative learning, and financial perspective.  
Firstly, Tesla should employ the customer perspective. Many firms have developed missions that focus on the customer. Thus, Tesla should translate its overall mission on client service towards a precise statement involving various elements actually of concerning clients. For instance, its goals should ensure that goods produced are quality, delivered on time, at desirable costs, and impeccable services. Secondly, the internal business perspective involves translating customer-based measures into the things the firm has to employ internally to meet customer needs (Kaplan & Norton, 2022). In addition, it must also consider the needs of the employees. Therefore, Tesla should focus on processes which allow satisfaction of the customer’s desires. Thirdly, Tesla should focus on the innovation of products and constantly improve the products to improve the company’s value. While Tesla has achieved this to some extent, there is still room for improvement. Lastly, the financial perspective involves creating financial goals related to profitability, growth, and maximizing shareholder wealth. Tesla should state its financial goals in a way that portrays survival, success, and prosperity.
7.1 How do inter-organizational relationships minimize uncertainty in the external environment?  
The uncertainties in the market have prompted many organizations to collaborate and link together. They represent a common strategy that involves the growth and survival of firms as they enter new markets, tackle competition, and gain access to new technology. Inter-organizational collaborations include strategic alliances, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and mutual service consortia (NAS, 2022). A strategic alliance is formed when two or more firms combine their resources to achieve mutual gain. Tesla operates in a complex and dynamic environment. Therefore, this alliance will allow Tesla to scale quickly and establish innovative solutions in a competitive environment.
On the other hand, in joint ventures, two or more firms combine their resources to form a new organization to pursue joint objectives. The company can benefit from shared risks and diversification. Acquisitions are preferred to ventures where there is conflict in shared ownership. Tesla gains more market power which reduces uncertainty by acquiring another firm. Mutual service, on the other, is advantageous in terms of Tesla pooling its resources with another company to gain access to new technology. Thus, this will reduce uncertainty as the organization will be more aware of the changes in the environment.
 
 
 
 
8.1 Tesla Organizational Structure.
Tesla has a functional organizational structure. The structure uses the organization’s functions as the primary defining factor with a structural team of employees in the engineering, sales, and service sectors. Tesla’s structure also incorporates other forms of corporate structure to a certain extent. Notably, the features of this hierarchy include divisions, centralization, and function-based hierarchy (Tesla, 2022). One of Tesla’s advantages from this type of structure is specialization. Grouping employees ensure that they can co-exist and depend on each other to produce desirable results. However, the downside of using this structure is segregation issues. Opportunities in diverse teams hardly get the chance to meet and share ideas, which may obstruct the firm’s progress. Despite this, Tesla has improved its corporate culture by creating the “We are All In” initiative (Pan more Institute, 2018). The motto has unified the employees into a team. Vertical integration is a forward and backward strategy in the supply chain. Here, the company purchases the supplier towards customers, otherwise known as forwarding vertical, or the firm purchases the supplier towards raw material. The strategy mainly focuses on in-house production. Today to the complexity of the logistics in the car business, Tesla transformed the industry through vertical incorporation (Benam, 2020). The organization has incorporated various production steps, beginning with batteries to electric motor production. Finally, it has developed self-driving models as well as a potent primary control program upwardly. The operations in management are solely dependent on the ability of the structure to support the implementation of new strategies.  
With the growing global operations, there are increased challenges and complexity. However, its corporate structure assists in dealing with uncertainty in the environment by maximizing information from top management concerning these challenges. By doing this, they can respond more quickly. In addition, the structure aligns with the firm’s mission, which is focused on being a global leader in the markets of automotive and energy solutions. Tesla’s inter-organizational relationship with Panasonic Company has equally reduced uncertainty levels through shared risks in Gigafactory. In this paper, we will analyze three different genres: one IEEE Journal article “Industrial Frameworks for Internet of Things: A Survey” by Christina Paniagua and Jerker Delsing, one Interdisciplinary Journal article “The Bizarre Muse: The Literary Persona of Margherita Costa” by Jessica Goethals, and one travel blog “Albania: An Unexpected Journey” by Matt Kepnes. The analysis of these genres will be based on how they are different and similar to each other in terms of their structure, text, the intended audience, and authorial intention.
                      The IEEE Journal article provides its readers with information regarding the developments, features, and characteristics of Industrial Frameworks for the Internet of Things. The authors intend to provide its intended audience, who are mostly experts in this field, with new findings related to Industrial Frameworks. The article is detailed, and its purpose is clear. Each argument made is supported with evidence in the form of surveys, colorful tables, and diagrams. This evidence ensures that the arguments are authentic and reliable for the readers. Looking at the format of the article, it follows the IMRaD (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) structure, which is commonly used in the sciences. Publication information is provided in the header of the first page which includes the volume number, the publication date, and the name of the journal.  
                      The title of the journal article is long and bolded, which indicates what the article is about. The article has two authors whose names are printed below the title. Before the introduction of the article, index terms and an abstract written in bold are provided, which guide the reader about what they would be reading in the article. There are two columns on every page with paragraphs, which are divided into numbered sections. This may help the reader to find immediately what they are looking for. The author uses a formal tone and advanced vocabulary related to the field and expects the reader to be aware of those terms. The author has italicized specific terms throughout the article, which might denote the importance of those terms. At the end of the article, we can see a reference list and a summary about the authors of the text, which ensure the credibility of the article.
                   The Interdisciplinary Journal article provides its audience with information about the life and literary work of Margherita Costa. The intended audience for this article may be people who are interested in literature or specifically interested in the work produced by Margherita Costa. The authorial intention would be to provide readers with detailed information about the literary work and life of Costa. The author provides us with the publication information on the first page along with her name and the title of the article. The title of the article is long and bolded, which tells the reader what the article is about. The article is divided into sections with bold headings, thus making it easier for readers to look at the information which interests them. The article is structured as a thesis.
                    At the end of every page, the author provides the readers with footnotes, which help them understand certain points made in the article. Throughout the article, the author has added black and white images which helps her support the claims made in the article. The language used in the article is formal with simple vocabulary. However, at some points, the author uses some academic terms. The arguments made are not supported by any scientific evidence, therefore, the claims made may not be authentic. However, the author uses her previous writings as references throughout the article. The author also uses some quotations which serve as examples of literary work. There are no   references given at the end, which makes it difficult for the readers to know where the information came from.
                       Unlike the previous two texts discussed, the third text is a travel blog that talks about Albania and how it has changed over the previous years. The intended audience for this blog is most likely people who are interested in exploring and traveling to different countries and might want to visit a less expensive destination. The author intends to provide the readers with all the information he has regarding Albania, its people, the culture, and the tourist spots. The author’s purpose behind giving these details is to inform, persuade, and entertain the audience to know more about the country and plan to visit it. The information is provided effectively and may influence people to get to know more about Albania.
                   The title of the blog is short and bolded. There is no publication information in the beginning, and we can only see the publication date. The author does not provide data to support his claims, however, he provides us with colorful pictures which serve as evidence for his arguments. The author also talks about his own experience of Albania, which adds to his claims about the place. The blog has short paragraphs without any headings, thus being different from the journal article. Short paragraphs allow readers to quickly skim through the blog without spending too much time. The author uses an informal tone and simple vocabulary, thus making it easier for the readers to understand the message being conveyed. The author has not given any references which makes it difficult to ensure if the claims made are reliable. The blog is posted on a website, therefore there are many advertisements throughout the text. We can also see social media accounts of the author such as Instagram and Facebook. At the end of the blog, the author gives some tips for traveling such as booking flights and accommodations.
                    From the above analysis, it may be concluded that the IEEE journal and the Interdisciplinary Journal are very much similar. Both the articles have publication information and long bolded titles.  Both the articles have paragraphs that are divided into sections with headings. Both articles have a formal tone and use advanced vocabulary. Both articles have the same purpose which is to provide their readers with information about a specific topic. However, there are a few differences between the articles. For example, the IEEE Journal has references at the end, while the Interdisciplinary article has footnotes at the end of every page. Similarly, the first text has scientific data such as tables, diagrams, and graphs, while the second text has black and white pictures instead of scientific data. Another difference between the two is that the publication information for the IEEE journal is in the header, while for the Interdisciplinary article, it is in the top right corner.
                    Comparing the blog with the journal articles, they are completely different from each other. The journal articles have a formal tone with specialized terms; however, the blog is in an informal tone with simple terms. Similarly, journal articles have a special structure with paragraphing, publication information, and scientific evidence. On the other hand, the blog has a different structure with very short paragraphs, no evidence, and no publication information are available.
