Research Topic: Leadership in Coaching Youth Sports Problem statement: Youth sports coaching

Research Topic: Leadership in Coaching Youth Sports
Problem statement:
Youth sports coaching is affected by divergent factors considering it involves young children necessitating youth sports coaches to display practical leadership skills. Youth sports coaching requires the employment of experienced coaches with a powerful, beneficial, and far-reaching impact on the youths’ athletic and life journeys. However, most youth sports coaches fail to get professional training to learn how to manage the younger population of athletes. In this view, a limited number of youth sports coaches with training in first aid, CPR, physical conditioning, injury prevention, and concussion management provides risks to the sustainability of the athletic and personal life of young athletes. This aspect challenges youth sports and coaching since it predisposes children to high-risk injuries that may cause sudden halts in athletic careers.

Hypotheses:

Youth coaches impact the leadership style of youth athletes.

Leadership styles that are less strict are more effective when coaching youth athletes.

Transformational Leadership style creates a positive coach-athlete relationship.

12 September, 2022 Dear (editor from National Geographic) I’m writing to you

1. Is Harmonie Water a global brand? Why or why not? 2. Based on the findings of Project Unify Marketing Assignment Help 12 September, 2022

Dear (editor from National Geographic)

I’m writing to you to discuss an article I would love to share it with National Geographic. National Geographic has an enormous role in rising awareness about endangered species among people. Despite it being one of the most well-known scientific magazines, many efforts to save endangered species have begun because of the heavy load a word has in this magazine. Thus, I would be glad to share my article here because of how efforts I expect to be done with this matter. I hope to write about the endangered Oryx leucoryx or known as The Arabian Oryx.

As far as I’m aware, National Geographic has not yet talked about the animal in an article. All that I’ve seen are these beautiful photographs of the animal in the wild. The animal was officially considered not endangered in the 1970s. However, we need to spread more awareness about this topic to prevent future endangerment and future haunting.

Primary and Secondary Source

Primary sources are the original records of a piece of information that are gathered during research (Wireman, 2022). Secondary sources are the interpretation of raw information where the source contains an analysis of information that originated from other sources (Wireman, 2022). A difference between primary and secondary sources is primary sources give firsthand and direct information, while a secondary source is an interpretation done by other people of the firsthand information. Another difference is primary sources are subjective because they are firsthand information about how an individual sees something, while secondary sources are objective, eliminating noise that may affect the credibility of the information (Wireman, 2022). Examples of primary sources include newspapers, surveys, videos, speeches, and works of art (Wireman, 2022). Examples of secondary sources include textbooks, reference books, journals, articles, and academic essays (Wireman, 2022).

Importance of Consulting a Variety of Sources

Consulting various sources helps ensure one uses factual information about history because historians have different perspectives about different events. In some situations, different historians have different perspectives and dates; hence consulting different sources ensures one gets factual information about historical events (Wireman, 2022). Primary sources give an individual firsthand information about an event, and secondary sources make it easier for one to understand primary sources better. A secondary source primarily uses several primary sources to form an accurate and informed scholarly analysis (Wireman, 2022).

Primary Source

The BBC article What is climate change? A Really Simple Guide is a primary source that discusses climate change, its causes, impact, and possible solutions. The article discusses climate change as a shift in the average weather conditions of an area (What is climate change? A really simple guide, 2021). Some of the causes of climate change include using non-renewable energy, which produces greenhouse gases that cause temperatures to rise. The impacts of climate change are becoming worse as the heat continues to rise, threatening the lives of people and animals. The impacts include severe drought, high rainfall causing floods, wildfires, and severe heat waves (What is climate change? A really simple guide, 2021). Possible solutions include companies should stop using non-renewable energy and focusing on using renewable energy sources to reduce the effects of climate change.

Secondary Source

The book The Future of Our Pasts: Engaging Cultural Heritage in Climate Action Outline of Climate Change and Cultural Heritage talks about the role that culture plays in correcting the effects of climate change. The article explains the cultural dimensions of climate change showing how cultural heritage relates to climate change and its causes. It describes how cultural heritage can drive people to make the necessary changes to reduce the negative impacts of climate change (Change, 2019). For this to work, some changes need to be made to how people perceive culture to ensure that using cultural heritage reduces the effects of climate change.

Choose a Current Event

Heat waves are a current event affecting many people, some losing their property and others dying. The heat waves are causing severe wildfires burning thousands of acres which are becoming hard to manage. Heat waves are an effect of climate change caused by the release of greenhouse gases that cause a temperature rise (Marx et al., 2021). As people continue to use non-renewable energy, the effects of climate change keep getting worse, with heat waves becoming more frequent and more extreme. Many people are dying due to heat waves, but with people not taking climate change seriously, the deaths of these people are going unnoticed (Marx et al., 2021). If people do not take action soon, heat waves will continue to be more frequent and severe and affect areas that have never experienced heat waves before, endangering more people’s lives.

The Nitty Gritty Let’s take a deeper dive into the written assignments.

The Nitty Gritty

Let’s take a deeper dive into the written assignments.

“What do I have to do?”

Here are the details of what you will do in the assignments.

There are 5 written assignments.

Each assignment requires you to perform a four-part analysis of a work of art (physical properties, form, subject matter, context), tie it to a concept from the module, and compare it to a work studied in the class.

Each assignment provides a template to work on using Word. Only use this template and only use Word.

In the early assignments, the template provides sentence stems and structures the essay for you, helping you to learn how to organize an analysis of a work of art.

In later assignments, the template does not provide the structure, requiring you to demonstrate that you have learned how to organize an analysis.

In early assignments, we provide the works of art to analyze.

In later assignments, you get to choose.

“Where will I get the template and the specific instructions?”

The Word document templates for each assignment will be attached to the Assignment instruction and submission page.

Download the document and work on it in Word only (not Pages, handwriting, or any other mark-making). When you are finished, save it as a pdf for submission.

“Where will I find the objects to use in the assignments?”

We will provide links in each assignment on the instruction page.

In the early assignments, we will provide links to specific objects and essays about them. Your choices are limited as you learn the ropes.

Later, we provide links to groups of objects and their essays. You have more choice in these assignments.

“Where will I find information about object I have chosen?”

The material provided in this course offers much of the information you will need. The videos found in the modules address similar objects and provide information that you can apply to the work you have chosen.

The links we provide with the assignment provide additional information.

Note that all information must be presented in your own words. You may not copy or transcribe information from your sources. Paraphrase and cite your source. No quotes allowed.

“Where will I find information about the context to use in my assignment?”

The module overview video presents important context information. Start there.

The other module videos will add to this information.

Finally, the essay discussing the work you choose will add additional context information.

“Where will I find the concept that applies to the work I am writing about?”

The concepts are listed at the beginning of the module. They are “big idea” statements, such as “Greek art reflects the influence of philosophy.”

Choose the concept that best applies to your work. Justify your selection by providing evidence from the work of art.

“How can I do well?”

Use lots of terms from the modules. And show us that you understand what they mean and where they can be seen in the artwork.

Use the concepts identified on the “Concepts” page in each module. These are the big ideas we want you to know and use. The concepts are sentences, not single words.

Start early. The #1 reason students perform poorly on online assignments is running out of time.

Read the instructions carefully. Pay attention to the “dos” and “don’t” and especially to the “musts.”

Follow the word count listed in the template.

Review the rubric. Each assignment has a rubric that shows you how we will grade it.

Read the feedback and review the graded rubric on prior assignments. Your instructor gives you key information for doing well. Use it!
